You have to work on resetting your metabolism. Eat at or above your BMR filling your body with nutritious foods. No fast food, no junk foods. Protein, whole carbs, fruits and veggies and eat that way for a long enough time for your body to know it is ok and it is not starving. Then NEVER drop down calories that low again.…

my suggestion would be to try a middle road. i agree 1200 is not enough, but 1600 may just be a tad to much? so try 1400? head over to http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/ and run some of the numbers, figure out your goal etc. how much are you looking to lose or what are your goals? fat loss? etc

i work retail and i work anywhere from 4-8 hours on my feet walking. on days i work i can do up to 3.5 miles and there is some lifting, but not enough. i set my activity to lightly active and only eat back some of my exercise calories on days i can get exercise in.

yesterday was a rest day and i ate 1578 calories. my goal is 1650 a day. i can do 1200 a day, but i prefer not to. and my 1500 calorie day is full of veggies, protein and good fats.

throughout my journey i have done many different methodologies. you have to find what works for you. but i do know for me that when my calories are low then my hair starts falling out and my skin looks like crud. instead of focusing on being "skinny" or "thin" i focus on being "fit"
