I've used mine for all sorts of rice, grains, and spaghetti. Very quick, I like it a lot!

I'd be interested as well!

Make it all about hitting an achievable goal, like calorie, macros, minutes of exercises, etc., rather than a scale weight target.

Really inspiring to read a success story like this. I know you hit a point where you aren't seeing the success you have previously, but you really have show that you have the habits you need to succeed. Like they said above, you got this!

I have two groupons I'm going to use in the New Year (yeah, lame to start in January, but really the timing for me right now is not great). Here's to seeing us sticking with it come February!

I think WW is a good onboarding system. I joined in July, when they had a special that included telephone coaching. I got a lot out of checking in with someone, kept me focused and accountable. However, the long term price I just thought was too high when the program was focused on doing what I was already doing, namely…

@SusanDSME I've seen friends of mine online with very divided opinions of the Last Jedi. How does it rank for you with the originals?
-
@tcunbeliever What workouts do you like that aren't as boring? I think I'd be into Beast just because it's weights focused, but could see how might get stale..

I haven't read the previous posts, so this may be redundant, but here's why I started Weight Watchers, and why after losing weigh on their program, I'm moving over here. I had lost weight in the past on both WW and on MFP, (30 starting on WW and then 30 on MFP), then when we had our second child, life got hectic, and my…

Did you get that checked out?

Oh, I absolutely think they make changes from a profit motive. That's not entirely bad (businesses should always try to improve), but they do get boosts just from changing. And the recurring fees are a lot higher when you factor in meetings or online coaching. I am starting to sound a little too cynical, and I really don't…

I'll post before after when I'm feeling more confident, but just by reducing calories, I've gone from 260 to 223 (222.6 actually :) ). Have certainly still enjoyed slices of pizza, and desserts (on occasion, not as a daily part of my diet). I won't outright knock keto, done correctly it (or what more often people mean by…

They cranked the daily points (and therefore calories) down by like 25%. So for me, I went from 41 points (roughly 1200 calories, with the assumption I'd be eating free fruits and vegetables to bring that up) to 31 points (which is again assuming I'd be making it up with the now free lean protein and fruits and…

They're latest switch is what brought me back here. In their defense, I kinda see what they're going for, in that if you eat primarily lean chicken (which is what they're counting as 0), fish, fruits and vegetables, you'll generally weight less. But honestly, that's not much of a program in my estimation, and for an…

I felt I was in a similar headspace earlier this year; thankfully a change in employer has been a real boost for me. The fact that you're back here shows that you're on the right track; the restarts are the most important part of the process. Those are what means you got back on track instead of giving up. Good luck in…

Cool, thanks! What weights do you use with it? Adjustable db's or barbell?

I've been very hesitant to get into running, I get shin problems very quickly. Never talked to a doc about it, it went away when I stopped. I figured I'd try it after I got way closer to the weight I'm generally shooting for.

Looking to lose 50 by this time next year (already down around 40 so far, trying to factor in a slow down at some point, but I'll be happy if it's quicker!)

I definitely don't qualify as fit yet, but I log I'm here to login everyday and get better and better.

Echoing suggestions above, I'd make it more about eating better, in terms of food and food quality. Packing lunches is as much about budgeting as it is about diet. So is cooking at home vs eating out. My worst head space was feeling I "needed" to lose weight, and not owning it as something I wanted to do for myself. My…
