I've lost about 38 pounds so far since July, though I still have a long way to go. Feel free to add!

Can I ask about your macro percentages/totals? Were you doing higher protein or higher fat? Were you testing to see if you were in ketosis? It really is an amazing transformation you've achieved.

I'd definitely second Koomdeveran's questions. And for me, what has kept me going this time is really letting go of beating myself up over slip ups. I had three weeks where I didn't lose any weight, and really thought I should have. I look over my progress however, and saw weeks where my scale weight went down quite a bit.…

I am here to track! Though I don't do keto.

Feel free to add me as well.

I'm in as well!

I'm back on MFP this week too, yep, no time like the present to achiever your goals!
-
I'll take a friend add as well. Long layoff from MFP, was on WW but thinking of switching back here since their app is 20 bucks a month and they basically count as "zero points" most of my diet lately.

I've been thinking about doing Body Beast, but have such a long way to go with weight loss I've held off. Folks here have had good results with it?

Hogwart's House Eating Strategies: 1) Hufflepuff: Organic, farm to table, humane meats (though preferably vegan). 2) Ravenclaw: Exact Measurements, Eat Your Macros. Tends to get caught up in Bro-science, study of the week. 3) Gryffindor: Tends to eat clean, but calls themselves "instinctive", will post selfies eating…

For flavor (not cost), I've liked Syntrax Nectar, XFMuscle Ultra Peptide, and TruNutrion's Trutein. I wasn't a fan of ON, but it's definitely cheaper. It doesn't sound like this would be a problem for you, but I feel fuller on protein powders that aren't just whey.

A lot of good stuff above. For me, measuring vs. estimation makes a big difference. I put my peanut butter into a tablespoon, I weigh my pasta and sauce, and in general really try to quantify what I'm eating. It's enlightening! And the patience part is very important. There's a quote that I love that has helped me a lot…

That's really awesome! Congrats!

I switched over from weight watchers. Since I wasn't attending meetings, it just made sense to go with a free option. Plus, I think MFP is a great online community. Come for the logging, and stay for the great support group from around the world!

A lot of good advice above! I'd add that I think the end goal should be finding a diet that you're comfortable with in the long term. That might mean having some nuggets every so often. I've done the deprivation/rebound thing, and I can tell you, it's a recipe for failure. Make changes you feel comfortable with and good…

Wow, that's really awesome!

Definitely a fan when they're microwaved - heating is a crucial component to Quest Bar Nirvana! Though now I gotta try them in the toaster oven...

Another article discussing similar ideas to Dr. Lustig: http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2013/08/sugar/cohen-text The doc from the Nat Geo article was interviewed on NPR and spoke favorably of Lustig's work. I'm really thinking of trying to stick with only naturally occurring sugars, such as those in fruit or veggies, as…

I'm interested.

Gah, please don't pay $484 a month for training! So much good advice above. It really, truly is all about the permanent changes you can make in your life, and it sounds like the trainer is trying to sell to your insecurity rather than finding ways to show you things that you can later do on your own.

HI DD, I'm working on losing another 40-50 pounds, and I'm down 35 pounds since the start of the year, so I know that with time and attention to diet and exercise it can be done! I think MFP is a great tool and a great community. Keep at it and you'll get the results you're after. Aaron

False, in MD, it's all about whole crabs. TNP loves baseball.

Is the FitBit "just" about walking and running? I think that might be the sticking point for me on that. Bodymedia just seems like it does more. FitBit looks like an awesome pedometer, and if all it did was get me moving more every single day, that's a real positive. Bodymedia providing a real sense of what you're…

Hi, One thing that I would recommend to anybody, no matter their age, is being patient. You're making a lot of changes right now, and I think you'll be very happy with your progress if you focus on sticking to those changes and making them a part of your life. 2 months is actually a pretty short period of time for a goal…

Amen to the subject line, and congrats on the achievement!

I lost quite a bit with weight watchers, but I was doing the online version, not meetings. I was slowing down at the very end, and I think fruits were playing a part. It's a good system, and if I was still using their tools, I just would have started dropping the daily target points. Cappri's a great example; she eats…

I started this year with a similar goal to yours, and lost 30 pounds overall so far. I'm really happy with the MFP community and tools. No matter what, stay committed to logging your food and weighing yourself, and I think you'll find that you'll be meeting your targets.
