If your diet allows it, I'd add some whey protein into it. Immediately after exercise is perfect because it digests quickly. I also recommend ice massage. What items are you eating that are high in carbs? I love pasta, but when i'm cutting carbs and have that urge, I indulge in Shirataki tofu noodles...only 3g carbs, and 40 calorie/bag! And they are delish

Get you some natural peanut butter. I usually go to my local whole food store and make it straight fromt the peanuts. That way i know there is nothing in it. A spoonful not only gives you those extra "good" calories, but it is a nice filler before laying your head down on the "pillar"..... hope this helps!
