I have dabbled with the 5/2 programme and also the 16/8 programme. They get me results but I find I get really tired if I try any sort of training on the days I am fasting. I would love to hear if anyone has come up with a method that allows the dieting and training without leaving you feel totally drained?

I've a 2000 VW Beetle - I call it Talulah after the Jamaican bob sled in 'Cool Runnings'. It was my mum's when she passed away in 2003 and I can't see me driving anything else ever. Miss you mum xo

a visit to coronary care two and a half years ago was the straw that broke the camel's back! :)

i'm not an expert but I would suggest it's down to 80% diet and 20% exercise. My weight has yo-yo'ed since I started on MFP two and a half years ago but it's going the right way again. A targetof 40lbs in a year is definitely doable. Best of luck and feel free to add me. I log most days and regularly reply to my MFP…

I log most days and would ne happy for the add. Good luck!

@ nakedsun thanks for mentioning a Welsh love spoon. I saw your post and was intrigued so good old google helped me! I'm getting engaged to the most wonderful Welsh lady soon (shhh don't tell her it's a surprise) and you have just given me a great idea for something to build in to my proposal. I don't think I've everheard…

Well done. I got down to 224lbs from 301lbs but I'm back to 252lbs now. Any suggestions how to keep on plan?

well done, and a great inspiration for the rest of us!

Good luck and my only advice is to stick with it! I started at 301lbs at the start of Jan 2010, got down to 230lbs last summer, went back up to 260 by Christmas last year, and now I'm back down to 230lbs! It is ajourney, not a sprint! Good luck

Hi Amber. Just a quick note to say good luck. The task may seem daunting, even impossible but I can assure you that with the right motivation and support you will achieve it. I have lost 64lbs since the start of the year towards my target of 112lbs. I've hit a few speed bumps along the way but you are doing the right thing…

It can be tough to get the balance right - you need protein to feed muscle but if you take more protein than you need it will get stored (as fat!)

first of all welcome! second of all well done for not giving up! so let's get down to the hard part - if you are working out 6 times a week and not losing weight then it could be down to food intake. I'm not an expert nutritionist and I hope you will get some good advice on that from others on this site but for me it is…
