what about bees wax? You’ll want to start with some natural beeswax. Place 6 oz of beeswax into a double boiler (or a bowl set on top of a pot filled with about an inch of water) and turn the stove to medium high. Melt the wax until it is soft and mostly liquid. Add your flavorings. Try peppermint, cinnamon, lemon, or…

I like that idea - running beside the wagon! :)

Wow, you could have taken that from a page in my book! Best of luck, and buckle your seatbelt so you don't fall off again.

Must be something in the air. I gave in and got KFC last night. When things get bad in my life, I tend to eat carbs. I need to stop emotional eating.

You sure you're not pregnant? LOL! I was always hyper sensitive to smells when I was pregnant.

Oh, another great recipe from the same book is Creamy Parmesan Chicken. No sour cream, but a can of coconut milk and gouda, colby, swiss, and parmesan cheeses. The recipe calls for 1C of shredded gouda, swiss, or colby and 1/2C grated parmesan, but I always up the qty and mix cheeses. You mix the cheeses into the coconut…

My family loves the Chicken Pot Pie recipe in the Wheat Belly Cookbook. It calls for 1/2C sour cream with 12oz chicken tenders, but since I use more than a pound of chicken and up all the vegetables, I use about a cup of SC when I make it. Basically, you mash cauliflower and cheese together to create a "crust" for the…

Liquid stevia in my iced tea, powdered stevia in my BPC, Sweetnlow at restaurants. I will eat SF jello, but infrequently. Sometimes, if I just gotta stomp a craving, I will eat the regular stuff and take the consequences. Luckily I am at the point where that does not happen often anymore. (I find that if I am craving…

Yes...too much sugar. I also hear fructose raises triglycerides so if I have fruits it has to be berries only.
-
I use it wherever I would use HWC.

RE Liver - I have a problem with the consistency of raw liver, but I am fine with it once it is cooked. So I do not make my own (and my family refuses to eat liver) but get it at restaurants on occasion. I like liverwurst/braunschweiger but only upon first opening it. After it has been opened I have some kind of…

Seems to me they forgot the HF part of LCHF! And to be honest, my life is too boring to make a good reality TV show. ;)

I think Ashboro has the honor of being dead center! :)

No pun intended, but Small World! I have been a homeschooling mother since 1998. I still have one in high school, the other two have graduated and are in college. And I have always made the girls take geography!

After a binge (which haven't been too serious lately, thank goodness) I fast for at least 18 hours, more often 24-36. It might be a purge, but it might also be a purgatory for myself - a mini punishment for being so weak.

I am in NC just north of Charlotte (originally from central IL, by way of Guam!) I have to say, I can't complain. Our weather has been decent this summer.
-
Yeah, I have found that we cannot blame everything that changes in our lives on going LCHF. Relax. Life goes on. :)

Ha! I was just thinking last night that I wish someone else would vacuum my house. And I have wall-to-wall carpeting!
-
That sounds like a great idea!

I do not often eat what you would call breakfast. But my "first" meal is most often a green salad with lots of oil. Sometimes I make a chicken salad or a pepper salad (which is basically potato salad sans potatoes) and eat it out of the bowl.

Sigh...I miss swimming. No "free" pools around here, and no money to join a club.

Yep, I get sticker shock I in the meat department lately, too. I try to buy the meats that have the extra $$ off stickers because they are heading for expiration. Bilo often has "buy one get one free" around here I aim for, especially on chicken. (But, as I have noted before, chicken is NOT my favorite meat). I wish beef…

Interesting that you mentioned not wanting to be the guy who says no... After church today there was a soup and sandwich luncheon that my daughter wanted to attend. Of course, there was nothing I could eat there, so I just sipped an iced tea. It was a bit uncomfortable being the only one without a plate, but I just let…

Along the same lines, FITGoat, I find that if I stick to the same meals, I stay on the WOL better than if I change up what I eat all the time. The kids might get bored, but that's where they can add in different veggies or sides, LOL! I "usually" have a BPC in the AM or whenever I decide to break a fast, later I have a…

RE Apples - Didn't someone on here say that most of the carbs are in the flesh? So you can probably eat the peel with natural PB for a small sweet.

My personal experience with any Atkins Nutritionals products is that they affect my blood glucose and weight loss negatively. So much soy product and the sweeteners they use, regardless of what Net carb count they claim on the package, cannot possibly be good for you in the long run. I did best on Atkins when I ate meat,…

I see what you did there! ;)
