The key is to find things to keep you busy so you won't be bored. Make a list, housework, fun things, movies you want to watch, games you can play. When you feel bored go to your list and choose something. Boredom is a choice, there's too much life to live to choose it.

Oh I can do a few at a time and probably get to 30 by the end of the day. I do need to start some ab work.

I've been out of the loop this week because my husband was off work. His vacation means double duty for me. I should get back on track by mid week. Despite the schedule disruption I managed to stay within my calorie goal and get daily exercise. My food choices weren't always the best, but I did moderate the portions. The…

I have to plan the whole week because DH is on vacation! I am close to hitting my goal of 100 miles walking so I'm sure I will do that. I'll be watching what I eat carefully because Jay is major sweet snacker.

Well this week's vegetable challenge sounds like a good idea. :)

I'm trying to average 12 mph on the stationary bike on this level. I'm real close. Maybe this will help me get there today.

We have several strawberry farms close by. I'll stop by one today. Yummy!!

I really enjoy my daily walks. I missed one last Saturday and I was quite cranky.

I use Endomondo to track my exercise from my phone. Thanks for the link to this. I will go check it out.

I do okay most days, over what MFP calculates on some, but still under the RDA by this calculation. Will work on that. :)

Last night was the first time I noticed I look thinner in the mirror!

Today is as good of day as any to add a few lunges... modified for my left knee, but I can do it!

An excerpt: Brand New Me - Alicia Keys Girl On Fire - Alicia Keys Stairway To Heaven - Led Zepplin My Happy Ending - Avril Lavigne Living On The Edge - Aerosmith Everlasting Love - Gloria Estefan Anyway You Want It - Journey Don't Stop Believing - Journey (my theme song since…

There's a lot of great advice here. I've struggled with depression for most of my life. In the past two years I've made a lot of changes that have helped. You can read about my journey in my blog post. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/threadlove/view/taming-the-depression-demon-525966 I give some of my tips in the second…

My maternal grandfather was active until the day he died at 100 years old. My paternal grandfather walked all over town every day. I'd see him miles from home and ask if he wanted a ride and he'd always say no. He lived until his late 80's. I feel better now at 50 than I did at 40 or even 30. My life is just getting…

I like it savory more than sweet so I tend to season it with herbs. I make turkey roll ups for a quick snack. I season it with paprika and put a couple of tablespoons on a slice of turkey and roll it up. Since it's smooth I like it with crunchy food like celery sticks or a few crackers.

22 miles walking and 27 biking. All challenges accepted and completed this week. Feeling great!

Keep track of your progress. It's a huge motivator for two reasons. One it gives me a distance to beat the next time, and two when you look back on your progress there's a lot to be proud of. If you have a smart phone there are lots of free apps that will track your walks via gps. Or invest in a pedometer. Bonnie

Is the pain manageable? Can you walk? What about a recumbent bike? I literally started from 0 exercise in Sept of 2011. I started by walking down the street. I logged 4 miles for the month. The next week I walked around the block. I kept adding length to my walks, in small increments. Last month I walked 60 miles and biked…

Yikes, this one scared me when I read it. But after watching the video I think I will give it a go. After all the purpose of the challenge a day is to stretch outside the comfort zone.

I have a pot of beans on my meal plan this week!

I'm terrible at following videos, but I like dancing around the house. I'm in. :)

I love see everyone's tickers. Mine is part of a dragon I created in stitches.

Hi I'm new to MFP, been doing it almost 3 weeks. I'm 50 and working on getting fit. I haven't been below 200 in over 20 years so I have a lot of work to do. I have been tracking my work outs with Endomondo for over a year. Last spring I went from 260 to 225. Over the winter I went back to 240. I've been working really hard…

Hi I'm new here. I love the idea of a challenge a day so thank you! My daily chocolate fix is something I want to work on over the next couple of weeks. I do extra exercise, but I know I need to make healthier choices more often.
