I'd like to join. I'm worried about not losing weight though, because I just started and I've been building muscle to swap out for the fat. Hopefully I'll start shedding pounds soon.

I call them my "tiger stripes" ... they're THAT bad. I haven't lost enough weight yet to notice any difference in them so I'm in the same boat as you. Good luck... post if anything seems to help you... :)

I just assume: if it seems too good to be true, then it probably is... It's okay to slip up. Learning lessons the hard way helps us to retain knowledge. Next time you come across something like that, think back on this experience and you'll read a little more carefully :)

I'm not surprised. I never drink diet soda... I just cut out the regular stuff and stick to water or a good juice. I know people who seem addicted to diet coke though, so that's why I figured I'd share this.

I believe it! This is a very rewarding method to track progress in dieting and exercise. I don't think I would be able to stick to a diet without seeing numbers in front of me so that I could know I am doing well.

I've heard that the more muscle mass one builds, the higher their metabolic rate becomes... so if I build muscle mass in my abs, then do cardio, theoretically it should burn the fat more quickly than if I only did cardio. I'm having the same issue. I haven't been able to lose hardly any weight, despite my dieting and daily exercise. I think I need to do more strength training like the gal before me said.
