  • How slowly did those last 10lbs come off????
  • PKW58, you asked did I do phase 3 and 4... Nope I "extended" my cruise phase but I adapted it to train for a 10km race. I was actually a little nervous about eating bread while training but I tried to do it in a dukan-ish way. I would only ever break Dukan by eating two slices of brown bread at the beginning. As time went…
  • Hey, I lost around 60lbs on Dukan. I started on the 25th Nov 2011 and by March 2012 the weight was all gone. I reached my goal weight a month ahead of the online coach's prediction. I was very well behaved, almost never cheated. If you do Dukan and don't cheat then you really power through the weight-loss! If I ever…
  • I did lose the weight I wanted to and kept it off for maybe 8 months before regaining some (20lbs of 55lbs lost). As the previous poster said, throwing away your fat clothes is a key idea. I put on a few pounds and I noticed my clothes were tighter... When I was dieting first time around I donated 7 handy sacks of my fat…
  • I had my major revelation on the 25th of November 2011 at 210lbs (I'm 5'4), my mum put me on a diet, she said I needed to do it. I had to wear shirts for work that were 4 sizes bigger than my normal weight size. I thought that they were just making the work shirts a really tight fit!! So after that I lost like 60lbs in…
  • Thanks for posting the list, have gotten a group together to do this :D
  • Can't drive so most of my runs are close to home but when I meet up with my running ladies I usually have a 3-4km walk to meet them.
  • My mum wanted me to lose weight... I started at 209lbs and she said if I got to my goal weight of 143lbs she would buy me an iPhone!!! Only 13lbs to go :) I won't be giving up before I get my iPhone.... also if I put on more than 5lbs over my goal I must give the iPhone back!!! INCENTIVE
  • Best wishes for your weight-loss :) I think if you plan ahead it will help you so much. Have you decided what sort of healthy eating plan you will follow and if you will exercise??
  • Yup... I agree keep doing what you are doing. Friends shouldn't make you feel like that even if it is by accident. Maybe she is being a little weird about it because she feels self conscious.... You are doing it the 'normal' way and she had to resort to EXTREME methods. Each to their own though... Her way works for her and…
  • CHOCOLATE... Just can't help myself!
  • Oh my god... I would have to do this!
  • I have been on a low calorie diet, lots of protein and very little processed food... It is working very well. When I upped my exercise I upped my cals too but not eating back exercise cals. Best wishes and just do whatever you feel happy doin hat you feel you can sustain. Lots of people talk about not being able to handle…
  • I would be surprised if the nutritionist was telling a client to use MFP and not know the way it works? Does the nutritionist set the calories and the op just uses MFP as the counting tool??
  • Water down your soy sauce... I do it all the time gives a fraction of the sodium but the taste is still good.
  • Calorie burns can be big overestimation's maybe the nutritionist is just trying to protect you against calories estimation errors that might be made. Sounds like good advice to me. :)
  • Love my scale... I weigh in every morning. Yesterday was a bad day and I overate but I weighed in this morning even though I didn't want to and I saw that I had hardly put on any weight. It gave me lots of encouragement for today to know that weightloss isn't as fickle as we fear it might be :D
  • Yup as another poster said two sports bras. One a little too small on top and the correct fit underneath. :) both are cheapos (supermarket bought) and I'm a 36DD.
  • I am a runner!!! :)
  • It happens when you walk too... have you been very inactive for the past few months?? If not then definitely see your doctor, If so then maybe you have lost the muscle you once had. Maybe you need to start slow with walks (plenty of hills) to build muscle. Eating lots of protein would help with that and then ease yourself…
  • I actually contemplated doing the relaxing and multiplying bit with the HRM to get a BMR figure but never bothered! Also I have had my activity level at sedentary since I started on here back in November and I just didn't think of it again but now I am fairly active so maybe I need to change that! I just get fixated on…
  • Haybales.... ""Notice the info they have allows them to do the exact same BMR calc as MFP and other sites that do BMR calc - so they leave the BMR burn out of that time period."" Do they really do this subtraction?? If they do then wonderful, if not then I just want to know... out of curiosity. I know it will not be a huge…
  • Exactly it is A LIFE VICTORY not just an NSV :) delighted for you and your family.
  • Southern Ireland any good??
  • MFP has told me every night for the past 4 months that I will put myself into starvation mode. I usually eat 900 calories almost all protein... I am a protein fiend and so far I have lost 53lbs. I eat whenever I am hungry, I never starve myself. I have recently started jogging/running and so on days when I jog after the…
  • Whatever you do no matter how far off track you go LOG everything and keep coming back to MFP and weighing in at your usual time. You will go off track every now and again... Coming back to MFP makes the difference for me evrytime.
  • Hourglass is a great shape... I agree with others who said your body shape doesnt matter too much but recently I noticed running having a huge impact on my shape. I walk lots maybe an hour a day but the running has had an impact and I have only been doing it for two weeks. Weights would be better I am sure but I don't…
  • i'm a bit ate throwing in my two cents but sure why not! Only just started running, I always wanted to but when you have 209lbs to lug around you'll find an excuse not to do lots of things! I lost 50lbs recently and a few weeks ago a co-worker suggested that we enter the cork city Marathon as part of a relay team... and I…
