  • I once craved regular soda so badly that I drank it right from the measuring cup.
  • That is funny, I can see why it's popular! I was thinking of grabbing some veggies to add in next time, actually...your idea sounds delish!

  • Lean Cuisine simply Vermont white cheddar Mac and cheese. Not usually a fan of the frozen lunches except in desperation, but this one was tasty.

  • Isn't it SO frustrating? Some days my back is sore by noon and I know I haven't sat down since I drove here and yet my step count is so very low. Lately I've been pacing the deck or playground any few minutes I can spare to add in some extra steps and try to beat my daily goal.
  • Daycare Provider...I spend a lot of time on my feet but only moving in small distances.
  • NY here (upstate, not the city)
  • A) Because I quit smoking and it stops me from punching someone (anyone, I'm not picky) in the face. B) Because I love food and need to work hard for extra calories sometimes. More A than B, depending on the day.
  • I seriously just do not care, one way or the other. Go naked, wear a turtleneck, whatever. Personally, I am a little sick of the word "movement" because it seems like there's a new one I should care about every day...but other than that I have absolutely no opinion on this one. However, I will say that even once I hit my…
  • I'm on 1200 a day also, and while it was a struggle initially it can be done if you plan ahead and pay attention. Try cooking spray instead of oils when you can, and save the butter/oil calories for something where you'll really taste them to make them worth it. If you're not a picky eater, look at recipes here and on…
  • I am not a morning person, at all, but I actually didn't mind waking up at 5:30 to go to the gym. The first few days were tough, I almost had my husband call to wake me up at first but I was determined, and it really wasn't that bad! I think you need to be completely dedicated to it, and rip off the band-aid. I only…
  • My current average is 48, but right this second (sitting on a couch messing around on my phone) it's 59...so clearly it fluctuates quite a bit.
  • I have plantar fasciitis and the incline on the treadmill absolutely kills me, even walking flat on the treadmill makes it difficult for me to walk for the rest of the day...this can take months to heal I'm told, so I've been avoiding the treadmill as much as I can. I second the person who said to lower the incline OR just…
  • I despise the taste of most protein powder because of the whey... Most people don't mind it at all but I definitely do. I don't drink protein shakes because of lifting, so I can't comment on that, but my personal preference is the vanilla flavor made by Arbonne. It's pea protein, and I believe it's vegan friendly, and…
  • I have a Vivosmart HR, I absolutely love it!
  • I don't see the logic to that unless I told MFP that I was highly active and then did nothing all day except workout. I entered very low activity (to account for lazy days) initially, so my daily calories are low. I was still quite busy PLUS worked out for an hour that day (60 minutes of cardio, busting my butt the whole…
  • Walmart and Target have socks I like to wear to the gym...check by the workout clothes or look at the packages for words like "moisture wicking" and "arch support". Yes, there are much better socks out there, but these are very budget friendly. Another option is to check Marshall's or TJ Maxx, they sometimes have good…
  • I added a few of you, I couldn't find everyone though. I'm Katerbels on there if you'd like to add me as well, I don't have many connections!
  • I have a Samsung phone and bought the Fitbit Blaze and they wouldn't work together. I ended up returning the Fitbit because of it. I now have the Garmin Vivosmart HR and I actually like it better than the Fitbit! It's not pretty (none of them are, IMO) but it tracks really well from what I can tell.
  • I have a Garmin (the Vivosmart HR) and it only syncs my workout calories to MFP, not my calories from steps. The downside to this is that it ONLY adds calories from actual workouts (starting activity mode on my wrist and stopping when I'm finished) and not my active calories from times when I may be more active than usual…
  • Absolutely love using my phone (and the WiFi from the coffee shop next to the gym) to watch Netflix on the treadmill or bike! Usually I listen to music, but sometimes if I'm too tired the distraction is nice. I was watching the new season of Trailer Park Boys... I wondered if anyone noticed and wondered what the heck it…
  • Every topic is debated back and forth, it's difficult to know what's truth on here lol
  • Do you think your 2 hour walk was more strenuous, and that's why you're feeling it today? I'm a preschool teacher and am on my feet a lot, but I don't find myself really walking at a brisk pace around here BUT when I go out for walks or even on a treadmill it's totally different. Just a thought.
  • I'm going to attempt to add each of you when I figure it all out haha. My username is Katerbels
  • I got one last night, so far I really love it! I'm still learning how it all works, but it has great reviews and so far it seems pretty accurate (I tested the HR against my phone and the cardio equipment at the gym earlier and they were all about the same).
  • My Note 5 just would not sync more than half of the time, plus I couldn't get notifications or control my music with it. I checked on the Fitbit site and forums, and apparently mine is 1 of the Galaxy phones that isn't compatible, even though I did have the Android app. They say they're working on getting them to sync, but…
  • For those that prefer the Fitbit, what type of phone do you have? I have a Samsung (Note 5), bought a Fitbit Blaze and returned it because they're not compatible with each other. Very sad. I was thinking about a Samsung Gear, since they're both Samsung and will likely work together, but if they're not accurate...why…
  • I have a Misfit Flash and absolutely love it, especially for the low price. It's awesome to start with and see how you like having a tracker without spending a lot of money. It tracks activity and sleep, plus it allows you to move it around on your body depending on what you do (so it's on my shoe when I'm on the…
  • White/Rob Zombie, Pantera, Korn, The Offspring and Velvet Revolver are on my list in addition to those already mentioned.
  • I used a regular sized cupcake pan (not the jumbo muffin pan or a mini one).
