Update: I'am using the Garmin 235 since June and I am seriously deeply in love with it <3 ;) Thanks!
-
Hi everybody! I am resurrecting this topic because I have the same issue/question. My garmin 235 gave me about 600 cals for a full hour run. I did literally nothing else that day except for sitting on the couch..but I still got almost 300 cals for my steps. My ONLY steps were during the run. So they are counted double…

Thanks for your input! These two models look really promising. What do they do better than the Vivoactive HR (+)? That one looks good as well as far as I can see?

I am NOT a morning person, but I have succesfully had a morning routine for a while. What worked for me, was that I signed up for a run, a much longer one than I was used to so I needed to train, and suddenly I 'had to'. I trained with 2 friends, and we took it in turns to call the others to wake them in the morning and…

This thread deserves a bump now we have so many new people on here looking for motivation!

Amazing! Keep at it, all the best for 2017! May you be healthy and strong and happy :)

I bet she kisses as playfull as she looks :)

Great work!!

Sometimes when i eat certain foods or randomly after exercising my tummy blows up so tight it hurts. All these reasons why it is more noticable in woman are probably right, but bloating can also be painfull so men would notice that as well right? ;)

I am not quite as muscled as some of the amazing ladies here, and it is a crappy flex, but this is how I look after 1 year of MFP :)
-
But you are the perfect healthy BMI now! Won't 128 make you underweight?
-
The most contagious smile! :)
-
So lean and muscled <3
-
Friendly smile with FBI-glasses :)

Thank you all very much! To follow-up: I ended up 3rd placed woman! :) Really proud!
-
Wow man, congratulations on your amazing hard work!!!
-
You can do this :) But if you just started, make sure your calories aren't too low! Take small steps, give your body time to adapt. And sometimes it is just one of those days... try to eat at maintainance, or if it happens that you go over: forgive yourself and move on to a new day. One slip-up won't kill your hard work!

Thank you both for your replies!! I don't mind my clavicles sticking out, but yes it's my upper ribs that are showing through as well now that I lost fat. There was never much in that area to begin with either... But if I go with your description and look at pictures of the pectoral muscles, I guess *some* improvement…

A question for the people on here with experience with recomp! I am almost at goalweight, and I am actually considering to stop maybe a bit (1 lbs?) above that. With my current deficit, I lose about 1-1.5 lbs every 5 weeks, so reeeeaaally slow, almost eating at maintainance. I am about 3 lbs away from my original…
-
I never lose during.. So usually I opt for maintaining those days because if I try to keep a deficit I'll just feel more miserable or start binging. I gain between 0 and 5 lbs usually, but the gain completely disappears a few days after. (unless I munched wayyy to much chocolate  )

Thank you all so much for your advice! I see there are some different opinions about either upping my miles or focussing on interval. This week I did the following: Wednesday: 10x 2 min run, 1 min walk Friday: 6k tempo run flat surface Sunday: 12k hills & beach Sooo a bit of both I guess ;) I am going to try to do at least…
-
Wow, 35 in 11 weeks is amazing progress!! Keep doing what you are doing because it is obviously working :)

If it is mostly fat, you just have to wait it out unfortunately since you can't spot reduce. If you walk a lot, especially hills or stairs, it is possible that you have quite large calf muscles. Also a bit of genetics, my parents both have quite pronounced calves and I have the same. Besides that, I walk a lot for work and…
