I regret the fourth glass of wine I had at a wedding last weekend. I don't typically drink more than one every couple of weeks. I definitely paid for that!

Hi all:) I'm here for the first time and am happy to find a challenge that doesn't require weighing in every week. I've been encouraged to toss my scale and pay more attention to how my body feels. If I eat right and exercise, the weight will come off. I think this challenge will help hold me accountable. I'm 54 and live…

Great job! I agree, mini goals are the way to go.

Dang, I need to check my closet!

Awesome job!! Good for you!

The stair machine! Hate it, but my trainer wants me to do it, even if it's just for a few minutes. I made it 5 minutes the other day!

Every time I want to quit, I think about that very thing... a year from now, you'll wish you started today. It really is a good motivator. Good luck, just remember to log, exercise and make good use of this site. The support you'll find here is amazing!

Wow! You have an amazing story and what a great example you are for your kids!

I'll be happy to take part!

I joined a gym a few months ago and got a free session with a trainer. She recommended that I try a spin class. I'm starting Saturday and anxious to see how it goes. Right now I plan on going just once a week in addition to my regular work out. It will be interesting to see how it goes. Sorry I didn't answer your questions!

Awww Sharon, I'm sort of having the same problem...not the night time snacking, but self sabotage. I've not been logging my food hardly at all. I keep telling myself I will do it later, but then never do it. I tell myself a bigger portion will be okay because I deserve it...afterall I've been doing so well these past…

I think slow and steady is the way to go, you are more likely to keep it off. I've lost 20 pounds in about 3 months and at times it seems slow to me, but I average about 1.6 pounds lost a week. I don't think I would want to lose any faster (well I would love to, but it wouldn't be healthy!) Just remember you are 8 pounds…

Definitely exercise and it's wonderful you do that with your daughter. She will grow up loving music and dancing and knowing that her dad loved spending time with her!

Great post! Congrats:happy:

Lol! What a great NSV!

That's a great attitude! We can't let one day get us down, but we can't let one day become two and then three....

The waist is the only measurement they take at my work clinic. I tried to take my measurements in other places at home but can never seem to measure the exact same spot twice. As long as I keep losing and my clothes keep getting looser, I guess I won't worry about the waist measurement so much.

How do you eat the chia seeds? Do you just put them in water and drink them? Sprinkle them on a salad?
-
Hi, feel free to add me:smile: I'm 5'2" and am about the same weight. We can do this together!
-
My NSV is that I joined a gym! And I've gone everyday since I joined and I'm having fun!
-
So do you just add a scoop of protein powder and blend? What kind of fruit do you use?
-
Good job! I find myself making much better choices when we go out to eat. I'm actually kind of surprised how easy it's been.
-
Great job! It always feels so good to go down a size or two!

Hi Kate, I've been on the site for a little over a month now and love it. It has been very helpful and most of the people are great. Feel free to add me.

This site is pretty amazing, but I think most of the credit goes to you Rose. You are such an amazing, positive person. Like others on this site have helped you, you have helped many people on here. You have a great way of writing that makes the reader feel like we are really getting to know you. Every time I read one of…
