  • Are you used to eating in the morning? I feel that way if I don't eat within an hour of waking up and if I take my vitamins without food.
  • Almost every morning I nuke 1/4 cup quick oats with 1/2 cup water for 1 minute 15 seconds. Add 1 T PB and a snack size box of raisins. 260 calories. Keeps me full. If I'm lifting that day or I know my dinner is extra light I will have a glass of skim milk or a hard boiled egg with it. Some days I'll have 2 hard boiled eggs…
  • I'd love to join! A group I'm in is over October 1, so I need a new one. :)
  • Welcome! Exercise is what I use to combat depression. My advice: create goals and celebrate when you reach them. Good luck with your new beginnings!
  • Not too long ago someone on the message boards said to ask yourself, "What is my goal?" when faced with temptation. I've been at this for a month and this has really helped me keep my focus. I also allow myself a small "treat" (100-200 calories) almost every day. That way I'm not desperate for sweets. And I really really…
  • I've used oatmeal powder in place of half of flour with pretty good results. Baked goods are a little more dense, but that's how I like them. Never tried it for cookies.
  • I eat oatmeal every single morning! Mostly I add a tablespoon of peanut butter, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and either a half cup of blueberries, a banana, or raisins. Occasionally I'll skip the peanut butter and do a banana or apple and walnuts.
  • I have a couple of days during my cycle that I want all the food. I mean, ALL the food. And I'm exhausted. Like I can't get enough sleep. I know I'll gain a couple of pounds the first days of my period and it usually comes back off later that week. I weigh every day because it's too easy for me to slip if I don't.
  • I love going to classes and making friends. They keep me motivated. Harder to do if you don't like people.
  • I'm soooo in! I just started logging in my cals again August 1, so this is a perfect challenge for me! name: mssmssy SW: 248.6 GW: 218.6 current BMI: 33.7
  • I love cottage cheese with raisins and a bit of cinnamon! I don't like applesauce, so I don't know about that. Cottage cheese and blueberries is pretty tasty too!
  • You are freaking amazing! I don't even have the words to describe how inspiring your story is. Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to document your journey for us.
  • 6'. I've been close to 275 (size 20) and as low as 212 (tight 16). Currently 246 ( size 18-20). It is very frustrating to know that I have to loose 40 pounds before I can wear a smaller size comfortably. I believe I should weight around 150-180 ilbs. My big goal is 200 lbs even. After that, we'll see if it is possible to…
  • Sometimes you just have to let other things go in order to improve yourself. I am a married mom with a full time job and I am a part time student. I exercise at least 45 minutes most days of the week. My house is a wreck--I have learned that I am not the only one that can take out the trash. I do NOT have to be everything…
  • GREAT info, ladies! Thanks for sharing.
  • Challenge accepted. :)
  • I had no idea there were so many of us splotchy red-faced gym rats out there! haha! I have actually had people stop me and ask if I am ok. Grrrrr..... Yes. I'm fine. I'm just a very pale person who happens to turn into a sweaty lobster when exercising.
  • I am 6' tall. There are very few one piece suits that support "the girls" and do NOT ride up in the back. Tankinis tend to be too low cut for me and the board shorts are often too short. These flattering fatkinis might just be what some of us tall gals need.

  • I have found the workout support I need by joining fitness classes. It's nice getting to know the regulars and encouraging one another.
