  • I'm new to the group, but I think this is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm working to establish healthier habits after having fallen off a while back and generally would like to build a community of supporr. In September I will write in my journal daily. Beginning each day with journaling helps me stick to my daily goals,…
  • Week ending 4/29: Food: A Exercise: A (7 hours 27 minutes) Water: A Weigh-in: -2.0 Food: I've had a really good week overall. Not a lot of challenges with food last week. I had an in-house lunch at work, but decided to bring and eat my own food and that all went smoothly. Wasn't as awkward as I anticipated. I've moved to a…
  • Week ending 4/22: Food: A Exeecise: B (7 hours 1 minute) Water: B Weigh-in: -1.8 Food: I had another good week of eating. I did some meal prep over the weekend and planned each day ahead of time. I forgot to mention last week that I'm back to intermittent fasting. I'd tried a couple days of full day eating and I was so…
  • Week ending 4/15: Food: A Exercise: A (9 hours, 1 minute) Water: A Weigh in: -0.2 It's been a good week! Food: I didn't do food prep to start the week, but managed to eat to my goals regardless. I discovered a new lunch staple - simple but surprisingly tasty - cottage cheese and tuna. Who knew? I continued to have…
  • Week ending 4/8: Food: A Exercise: C Water: B Weigh-in: -1.8 Food: I managed to do my food prep early in the week and had what I needed every day. I continued to have issues with my energy, and I think there were a number of issues at play. One is digestion. I have a history of issues with my digestion. I experimented with…
  • TurboFire is awesome. It's faster than TurboJam, but just as fun. It wipes me out!
  • Week ending 4/1: Food: A Exercise: B+ Water: A Food I ate one meal off plan this week, a belated birthday lunch for my assistant. I didn't go crazy, and got right back on plan the next meal. Exercise I worked out six days last week, but only two of them were my scheduled TurboFire workouts. The challenge this week was…
  • So, turns out I'm not ready for Insanity. I did the Fit Test and the first two workouts, and then I started avoiding working out. So as not to derail myself, I've simply chosen to do a different program. So tomorrow I'll be starting TurboFire. I'll still post here weekly to track my progress. This week was a good week. I…
  • Well, I'm going to post my photos once I figure out how. eta: figured it out!
  • I notice my face and my back fat (from pictures). My boyfriend can see it in my butt and legs. :-) Scale not moving much so I'm really relying on comparison pics and will start taking measurements this weekend.
  • You're doing great! Congrats!
  • Before and during for sure. I started at 185 pounds on November 16 following a week long cruise. The pictures are 180.6 to 169. My goal weight is 135 pounds. I'm 45 years old and 5'2".
  • Great work!! I love your attitude about it all :-)
  • I have two to share:* I'm currently completing round two of CIZE (4 weeks per round), which includes an 8 minute ab routine. I set a goal at the beginning of round two to be able to get through the entire ab routine without any unscheduled breaks. At the start of round two I was taking nine unscheduled breaks. Today was my…
  • It's a way of life for me. Absolutely love it!!
  • Thank you for posting! I just started week five of my journey. I lost four pounds and six inches in the first four weeks. I'm proud of those results, but with so far to go (another 46 pounds or so), it feels like such a long road ahead. I appreciated seeing someone else celebrating at the early end of the journey this…
  • Add me, too! Beautynovice511@gmail.com. I've been using Fitbit since 2012. I absolutely love it. It's definitely helped me increase my activity. I'm really mindful about getting my steps. And if you have one that tracks workouts, you can share your workouts on social media. That's been surprisingly motivating. And finally,…
  • Right now I'm doing cardio. Just completed my second week of IF. My first fasted workout was difficult. But I seem to have adjusted and don't see much difference on fasted days vs fed days. I do take a pre-workout supplement now before fasted workouts, but I've felt so good, I'm guessing I don't need it.
  • I'm doing well. This is my second week of IF. I haven't struggled on my fasting days. I eat breakfast and then don't eat the remainder of the day. And I'm generally fine on my eating days. This week I'm traveling for business, which usually spells doom for me, but I've been fine so far. I had one business social dinner,…
  • I haven't posted in a couple weeks, but I've been on track. Worked out every day for 30 minutes minimum the past two weeks. And I've stayed within my calorie deficit this week. This week I'm on business travel. My goal is to keep up my workout program, minimum 30 minutes a day, and to maintain my weekly deficit. Business…
  • Second week of 5:2. First fast day yesterday. Went fine. I felt energized throughout the day. And my workout this morning was fine also. Shorter workout than the one I was doing last week, so not really comparing apples to apples. But I'm happy with how it's going nonetheless. I think this is a lifestyle that can really…
  • Second fast day went better than the first. I didn't suffer so much at the end of the day. Still went to bed pretty early, and didn't make the best use of my time. But I felt better, which I like. My workout after my first day of fasting was really hard. I felt gassed half way through. So this morning, I added a…
  • Congratulations!!
  • Thank you @dryheatfitness. My first fast day didn't go too badly. Fasting while I was working wasn't too difficult. I had my decaf in the morning, herbal tea in the afternoon, and water throughout the day. Once I got home, it was a little harder. I found myself distracted by the hunger. But it was the first day, and I was…
  • Good luck @mrsfitzyv8. I'm starting 5:2 today. Monday and Wednesday will generally be my fast days, but I may have to move it around from time to time to accommodate business socializing. I'm very excited to give this a try and hope it's as effective for me as I've seen it is for others.
  • @KrisM111 CIZE is an at home DVD workout program from Beachbody that is dance based. So much fun! You'd think I was selling it, I'm so excited about it. But I'm not selling it. Just, for the first time I'm working out and I'm not dreading it because I'm having too good a time. Thanks for the welcome!
  • Hello all. I'm joining the conversation! My goal this week is to move my body a minimum 30 minutes a day. Last week I started the CIZE program and am absolutely loving it. The program is 6 days a week, so I find something else to do on Sundays. Yesterday I rode my bike 9 miles. This Sunday I'll likely hike. We'll see. I'm…
