  • @RoxieDawn Holy cow woman, you look amazing! I hope I can get my arms to look half as good as yours. So inspiring.
  • I've been told I carry weight well. I'm pretty pear shaped, so I've always had decent shape in my hips and butt without trying. Even when I was at my biggest, 180lbs, I carried most of it there. As others have mentioned bone structure can have a lot to do with it, so can natural body type. Edited to add I've been…
  • I'm on the second week, though the flu has derailed it a bit. I know it's early, but I've enjoyed reading the book and the workouts I've done so far.
  • Thank you for taking the time to respond! My stomach doesn't look awful and maybe it's not super obvious in the photos, but I have that dreaded lower stomach flab. Granted, it's gotten smaller since losing some weight (I started at about 150lbs) and since I have started lifting I have noticed some improvement as well. I'm…
  • Thanks for responding! I was thinking so. I remember when I was 125lbs my body didn't look that different, especially my stomach and I got frustrated. It can't hurt to try and getting to eat a little more would be a huge plus.
  • I was hoping for some advice about whether or not I'm in a good place to try a recomp instead of losing. I'm currently at 137 lbs and 5 ft 4 in tall. I'm 28 years old. I was planning on trying to get down to 125 or so, but after doing some research I'm wondering if I should just go the recomp route. I've recently started…
  • My two go to sweet snacks are a warm fiber one brownie with a scoop of Halo top or a chocolate chip rice cake covered in peanut butter.
  • Damn, girl! You look great. You're an inspiration.
  • Lemon and mint is my favorite. In the summer I like to do strawberry and honey dew melon.
  • I don't ever remember eating anything especially weird, except maybe butter. I would eat with a spoon in allowed. I feel kind of weird about cinnamon sugar toast now...I never thought it was strange. I still eat it on occasion. I think it's delicious. lol
  • This is true. I'm pretty sure most of my body weight comes from the hips down. lol I'd still like to get back the point where I can do pull ups. I'm ok with noodles as long as they're functional noodles. haha
  • Best:Butt Worst: I have wimpy noodles for arms. I'm working on it, though.
  • Looks yummy! We're having mexican too. I made cilantro lime chicken, beans, rice, and we're also some grilled veggies on the side.
  • Welcome! I would love more friends on here, anyone can feel free to add me. We could all use a little encouragement every once in a while.
  • I travel a bit for work. I usually will bring a few of the healthy choice steamer bowls with me and some popcorn, bananas, protein bars, etc. For breakfast I will eat the hotel buffet, usually oatmeal or eggs and turkey sausage. If this isn't an option bring some oatmeal packs. For exercise I use the fitness center or do…
  • I feel ya...I like to dunk my food in it. If you want to reduce your sodium intake I would follow the advice above to use seasonings instead for the heat and then a splash of frank's. That way you still get what you love and don't sacrifice the flavor.
  • The thing that gets me is that all of this info is readily available for people to research themselves. Almost everyone has a smart phone with the internet these days. I get the diet industry has put out so much bad information to keep people over weight for so long, but it astounds me how people just believe things they…
  • As others have mentioned a new workout program can cause you to be up at first from water retention. I've experienced this, it usually levels out in a week or two so I don't weight myself too often. You're doing great just by being here, keep up the good work and you will see results.
  • You can do it! I just looked at your profile and it looks like you've lost quite a bit already, not too far to go. Go on with your bad self.
  • I ate a good portion of a medium pizza tonight. It fit my calories. No regrets.
  • It was getting back into the 130s, which I weighed in at 139 yesterday(yay!) so now it's fitting into this pair of jeans I have that are a little too snug. I'm also trying to do the blogilates workout calendar for a full month.
  • I'm not familiar with aneglos. If they do not offer nutrition info on their menu or website I would log it as pizza from a chain that is of a similar size.
  • If it's a medium from pizza hut, I believe it's 130...I worked there as a manager for 6 years and that was my slice of choice. lol Otherwise I need more info.
  • Mine is pretty basic and I plan our menus a week at a time. There a few things I make a lot, but we to change it up to keep things balanced and interesting. I always keep these thins on hand: Brown rice frozen mixed veggies cauliflower rice Broccoli Bananas Oats Peanutbutter whole grain bread zuchinni ground turkey chicken…
  • This is basically what I came to post.
  • A fiber one brownie heated up in the microwave for 15 seconds and topped with a little halo top is my savior. Chocolate rice cakes with a little peanut butter on top are pretty good too. This site is all about finding ways to fit things you enjoy into your deficit. If you can't keep any in the house without losing total…
  • Breakfast: turkey sausage, egg, and cheese burrito. Coffee Snack:Banana and some white cheddar puffs Lunch: Cajun Shrimp, sausage, and oven roasted veggies left over from last night Dinner: Chicken fried rice Dessert: A fiber one brownie heated up in the microwave with a scoop of halo top
  • Spaghetti is a weekly must at my house. If my calories allow for it I will make whole wheat pasta. If I don't have room for it I will cook a spaghetti squash or make zucchini noodles with my spiralizer. If it's a meal you love then go for it. Unless you have a health problem that prevents you from eating wheat I see no…
  • I have a fruit infuser water pitcher I got from Bed bath & beyond and I use it constantly. I love to fill it with lemon slices, fresh mint, and cucumber. I find it refreshing, but I don't believe there's any benefits other than making my taste buds happy.
  • Everyone is different. I go up about 5 lbs right before and during my period, then towards the end/right after it goes back to normal. It just depends on your body. I usually don't even weigh myself around my period, because it's not an accurate number. I would just keep up with calorie counting and weigh yourself a few…
