• Totally interested if there is still space available in this challenge :-) PM me with details or send a friend request!
• That's some amazing progress! Hard work is paying off - congrats! Well deserved :-)
• Man -- you guys are awesome! Seriously, I have never received such a response on a board post before! Friend requests are coming in like crazy and I feel more motivated than EVER! Keep 'em coming!
• What an amazing transformation you've made. I can only imagine how much better you feel now. Congratulations, your hard work and dedication sure paid off - you look fantastic! Thank you for sharing! You're an inspiration and show us all here at MFP that we need to keep pushing forward!
• From one Canadian to all of you - HELLO!! Stewiacke, NS here. Feel free to add me folks. **forewarning** Unfortunately I don't come with a 'censor' button, it was lost at birth. You've been warned LOL!
• I'm a prime example of 'eat more, lose more'. When I first started here on MFP I had my calorie limit set at 1200. I usually only ate 1000-1100 and never ate back my exercise calories - so most days my body was running off of only 700-800 cals. My scale would NOT budge no matter how hard I worked out or changed up my…
• ME! I'm looking forward to (hopefully) my first summer sporting a bathing suit! Haven't worn one since I was a little kid! We CAN do this!! :0)
• Trying this one in the morning - thank you! Sounds delish! :0)
• I wish my scale budged like that :/ I ditched my scale last year, only weigh once every few months now. My measuring tape is my friend - it's way nicer than the scale lol.
• East Coaster here! Beautiful place to live :0)
• 5'4 135 pounds Size 8 pants - they're big in the waist but I need to keep the larger size until these f'n hips shrink! LOL!
• ^^^THIS just totally made my day! I was pretty resourceful before I got my dumbbells, but this totally blows my creativity out of the water ... Love it! LOL!
• ^^^This. You'll start a cycle you can't break - trust me.
• Yeah see, I'm great with the afternoon. I eat lunch, have a snack around 3ish, supper around 5/6 and sometimes a light evening snack (piece of fruit, veggies, etc.) It's just the morning that has been brutal on me the last couple of weeks. I was cranky, had a headache, and ready to rip someone's head off this morning about…
• I'm ahead of you - I read it this morning lol. Thanks, it's a great read :0)
• I figured at least one person would blast me here, I've already had one person elsewhere go all "the world will fall apart if you skip breakfast" on me lol. I figure I'll try a few of the suggestions, but if all else fails, I'm headed back to what worked for me for a year! :0)
• It's odd to think though, if I eat the EXACT same meal at any other point in the day, I'd be full and satisfied. What I ate for breakfast today is the same as I had yesterday for lunch, yet was full until dinner.
• My breakfast is usually between 450-500 cals once my morning coffee is factored in and depending on what fruit I have on the side. Protein is the route I'm going to take as I simply can't physically eat anymore than I already do - I just need to find more satisfying 'filling' foods. If that doesn't work, then I guess I'm…
• I actually just read this this morning as my stomach was growling! It's a really great article and explains a lot. Thanks for that!
• If I eat my first meal anytime before 11ish AM, I'm starving within an hour, whereas if I just wait until lunch I'm good to go. I think it's all just a matter of me experimenting and seeing what works/doesn't. I'm definitely going to try adding more protein and try different eating times and see how that goes. Thanks for…
• THIS ^^ has been my line of thinking for the last year. I ate when I was hungry, but still stayed within my limits and it seemed to go well. It seems as soon as I jumped on the 'breakfast' bandwagon my appetite went turbocharged. I have to fight with myself to stay within my limits now. Guess that's why they say 'if it…
• I've seen a lot of people eating quinoa. It's something on my 'to try' list - thanks for reminding me :0)
• Yep, I'm thinking I'm left with no choice but to experiment with my diet, despite how much I hate the idea of tinkering with it!
• It is nice in a way to see the metabolism going hard and strong. For years I lived off of coffee and had no appetite (only ate every couple of days). It's good to see that I've come a long way since then. It took a lot of work to build up to being able to eat every day and I feel much better for it. Just don't like the…
• I think this will be one of my changes! Thank you :0)
• Hmm ... Turkey bacon, I've never tried it, but it sounds yummy! Thanks for that idea! I agree, I should up the amount of oatmeal, I've been thinking that the last few days.
• Unfortunately this one doesn't fill me either LOL! I figured peanut butter was a good idea, but it didn't work - still hungry! I can't do tea ... I love it, don't get me wrong, but I am what you could consider a recovering 'substitute coffee/tea for food' addict. I spent years masking my hunger with those two, so I try to…
•
"Just switching to greek yogurt or natural fromage frais would up the amount of protein per grams of yogurt a lot already. You should stick with completely natural yogurts anyways, all the other ones are absolutely laden with sugar."
I think the Greek yogurt is will be a good start for me. I love it mixed…
• I'm not much of an egg fan, but that would probably do the trick. Kind of scary to think of how much sugar is in yogurt YIKES! Thanks for your input :0)
