I had no idea there was such a thing as an metric cup until today. I didn't say that to be insulting or anything. I said it because MFP is based in the US and uses the customary as a measurement of water, and was explaining why someone who does not use the customary measurement system (IE someone who does not live in the…

You could try making big batches on the weekends when you have more time and are not hungry and pre-portion and freeze them. You will get the same bottom of the dish feeling without the extra price or sodium. I do this when I make things like enchiladas, chili or red beans and rice.

Congratulations!

A cup of gold because cups are a measurement of volume not weight.

with the ultra there was a little gold button on the bottom of the charging station, but the one has the little cord to charge

Ah I see, my husband likes when I cook because he has more beer/wine/snack calories for the day when his meals are reasonable.
-
Do you live alone? When I make a pot of food I premeasure it as 4 servings, then I eat one, my husband eats the other and we put away two servings as leftovers for another meal. It's good that you've found a way to help you lose weight, do you think you'll be able to maintain once you reach your goal by continuing to use…

Me too, I usually drink out of a 20oz or 16.9oz bottle.

I like searing or poaching them, and just log the oil or butter. Sometimes I add salt and pepper and stick them on an electric grill, or put them in the steamer basket when steaming veggies and add butter or seasoning to them after they steam.

You may want to stop drinking water out of that kind of cup.

Wow okay... (I had to know what the third cup was, if metric was the fourth all I could find was a Japanese cup) I'm going to assume the OP meant what sort of 'cup' is MFP going by, and it's the US customary cup. Just count a standard glass (whatever it's measured in) as a cup of water. U.S. customary cup = 236ml Imperial…

You could make the recipe a blog post and share the link in your feed if you wanted.

Food that are high in protein, dietary fiber or healthy fats. I personally find foods like chicken breast, beans, peas, dark leafy greens, sweet potatoes, squashes, avocados, and quinoa to be very filling.

If you have the little dongle in your USB slot, open your 'fitbit connect' on your computer and click 'sync now.' If you are logged into fitbit in your web browser refresh after it's finished syncing and it should have updated information. At the top of the dashboard it will say how long it's been since it synced.

You can change it here if you'd like myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_custom It does seem high, my vitamin contains 27mg and says it's 150% of the RDA.

I joined the '100 Mile Swim Club' at my gym. So I have a goal of swimming at least 100 miles in 2015. My big goal right now is to keep swimming as often as I can until I'm due and to get back into swimming as soon as I get cleared for exercise after the baby. I will update my goals to more specific things after that is…

I love swimming too. You should join the swimmer's group on here. community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/122-swimmers Stick with it, each time you get back in the water it will be easier. :)

People outside of the US don't use 'cups' as a form of measurement, this question comes up every now and then.

Or beer, many people have gotten fat off liquid calories. When people give up liquid calories (beer or soda usually) and make posts about having trouble eating enough they get responses like 'keep eating what made you fat, just less of it.'

I still log when I am sick, but make a note in the comment section that I vomited. Don't force yourself to eat though, just get plenty of rest and fluids.

Well no I've never been asked when I was due by a stranger, which is odd seeing as I am 8 months pregnant. People do not say anything about my stomach unless they find a way to ask without directly asking. Like when I'm at the store buying baby things they are like 'Oh who is this for?' It's a little bizarre, even when I…

For those of you that don't think there is a rude underpinning, you are missing the tone when it happens. It's usually said with a tinge of disappointment or pity in their voice. When someone (usually an older woman) tells me "Aww but you have such a pretty face" they totally mean it in that 'What a shame you are wasting…

A cup of water in the US is typically 8oz of water, or 236ml or 0.24 liters. The 8 'glass' goal is around 1.9 liters total.

High sugar and high fat foods tend to be more calorie dense, people that binge on things are typically trying to consume as much calories as they can. For some people it's a half gallon of ice cream, for others it's burgers (most fast food burgers have both sugar and fat in them) or a bag of chips. It's a little strange to…

Add more dietary fiber to your diet, like protein it's very filling. Dark leafy greens, squashes, sweet potatoes, etc.

I go to the gym late in the evenings to avoid the crowds/wait times. I usually toss things in an electric pressure cooker and start it before I leave for the gym and when I get home dinner is waiting for me. It's usually rice with some meat and steamed vegetables, I mix up what sort of vegetables/spices to keep it more…

I don't have a scale at home, but the one at the gym seems to be accurate (I weigh the same at both gyms but 5lbs more at the doctor's office scale). I haven't price checked it but I'm going to assume it's expensive. It's a 'detecto' brand scale.

Ignore this, I didn't read the other comments to the thread before posting.

Tidy up or cook a meal, you'd be surprised how many steps you take while cooking.
