  • Do we have an April thread started? Let’s do this!! Edit: whoops! Must have missed it. See you all over there!
  • Whoops, posted a little too quickly. Huge progress made in March but I’m worried about making my ultimate goal of 179.
  • And it’s weigh in day!! SW: 185 GW: 159 March starting weight: 185 March goal weight: 179 March 10: 184.3 March 15: 183.1 March 20:182.0 March 25: 180.9 March 30:
  • And it’s weigh in day!! SW: 185 GW: 159 March starting weight: 185 March goal weight: 179 March 10: 184.3 March 15: 183.1 March 20:182.0 March 25: March 30: Today’s weigh in is 182 but saw the scale dip down to 181.2. Either way is fab so I am thrilled! 179, I am coming for you!
  • I did it! One day did not derail me. Today was back on track and solidly on plan. Woo! (Now, x6 for the rest of the week).
  • Onederland is happening this month for you @mari_moulin!!
  • Went to an amazing restaurant today with friends. Overall made relatively good choices but was definitely indulgent. I look at it like a necessary part of this being sustainable ... over the rest of the day I have done so-so and tomorrow means back on track!
  • So taking things seriously works! (Logic meets discipline is not as easy as it sounds). Saw 181.2 on the sale this am which means I am 2lbs away from my March goal! I tend to lose weight slowly because I am quite sedentary (work in an office up on average 60-70hrs a week... and that is a “normal”, not busy, week) and am…
  • Yes!! I am 5’7 182 goal of 140s. I was down to 163 but had a baby and can’t shake the weight off. Being honest I lost most of it but put it back over the last year... whoops. Doing it for the last time this time around.
  • @CaliMomTeach did I hear you are at GOAL!!! Happy dance for you! What a huge achievement.
  • And it’s weigh in day!! SW: 185 GW: 159 March starting weight: 185 March goal weight: 179 March 10: 184.3 March 15: 183.1 March 20: March 25: March 30: Over the last few days I’ve also seen a 182 on the scale but decided to stick with the trend line from Happy Scale. I am coming down with the flu so may be some extra…
  • PS... it’s not an official weigh in day for me today but as a teaser, I weighed in at 182.3 this am (March starting weight of 185). Woohoo! Hoping it is a permanent loss and I am well on my way to my goal of 5lbs in March. In the past I’ve lost a max of 0.5lbs/week. I’m not so near my goal that a bigger weekly loss is…
  • Carbs are my indulgence too. I would take a slice of bread and butter over chocolate every time. Just finished work (it’s almost 10pm here) and I’m ready to crash. I’ve been sitting in an office all day long and am barely at 4000 steps today! But my eating has been fairly good and I have a stomach bug, so I wouldn’t have…
  • I seriously thought you meant that you had been so good, you wanted to reward yourself with a blowout (hair blow dry and style) at a salon. Sigh, if only if were that easy...
  • Me too!! I’m just back from vacation where I put on an extra few lbs - but had a good 10-15lbs I wanted to lose before then (as a first milestone goal). So let’s do this! I started officially on March 7 so we are all in the same timeframe :) I weigh in daily to keep myself in check and see trends. It has its pros and cons…
  • I’m jumping in (please!). Just found this challenge and hoping to join in. I’m at my all time heaviest ... and strongest resolve, so this is it! SW: 185 GW: 159 March starting weight: 185 March goal weight: 179 March 10: 184.3 March 15: March 20: March 25: March 30: Total loss for March - 0.7lbs
  • @pexxy92 you just wrote my story. I have been on and off this wagon so many times. It seems like this is the one aspect of my life I just can’t get under control. But we can change the story. Every plot has its twists and turns ... so glad to hear you are committing and it is inspiring me to do the same! The rules are…
  • Sounds like you made a good improvement! It's ok, it's a journey. Tonight when you want to snack, remember how you had a smaller snack yesterday and it really wasn't all that bad. This is a huge problem for me. I've started a few things: 1. Eating my calorie allowance by dinner time Having even 100 calories left over gives…
  • Helloooo! Bumping this up to the top. I haven't done so well (that's what happens when you abandon MFP for cookies). And 8 lbs by Christmas isn't so likely. But 1 or 1.5 lbs IS realistic. Who wants to get this train started with me?
  • CdnLee - I work in accounting too! I'm st my desk a lot but any meeting that doesn't need a laptop is a walking meeting. My team loves it! My weight this am was 178.4. I was 168 before getting pregnant (2 yrs ago) and I am soooo excited to get back there.
  • Great idea on a nov 1 weigh in ... especially since mine was disappointingly high this morning. 178.4. The thought of 170.4 makes me sooooooo happy. 8 weeks! I had a work lunch today and ordered a lovely tuna salad. However, we shared zucchini fritti drizzled in honey to start. It was amazing. Amazing. But now I have few…
  • Love it! Hope I'm not too late to join in!
  • Whoops - I didn't mean that to be unmotivatipnal to the OP at all!! Just wanted to say, give yourself time and don't feel like something is wrong because the weight isn't falling off the way it may have for some of your friends.
  • I think that your experience is common, but it's also completely normal not to be able to lose while breastfeeding. Hormones do wacky things. For me, I could not lose anything at all while breastfeeding.
  • Just sent you an invite! I'm in the same boat!
  • What a tip!! I'm actually excited to use this at breakfast this morning ...
  • Hi! I'm over a year PP and want to drop the preg weight. For me, I gained 23 pounds when pregnant. I lost 4 in delivery - that's it (my little one was 4 lbs 1 ounce, and I had an extremely small placenta). The rest? Stubborn, permanent pounds that I'm slowly whittling away. I had a few curveballs too - including being…
  • This is great feedback. Sometimes it's hard to see things for yourself, but this makes sense. I knew something was up - I'm not a special snowflake
  • Good point. It is homemade, but I didn't input that recipe. Frankly I should not be eating it anyways!
