This is my new favorite snack. I usually shred the brussel sprouts, sauté in bacon grease, add cooked bacon chunks back in. Delicious. I’ll have to try your method next time. Thanks for sharing.

Count me in! I need the accountability. Thanks

Just got caught up on all the posts. Everyone's doing an amazing job. The doctor released my from my boot last week. Achilles' tendon is much better. He said to ease into increasing my activity. Last week was just normal activity and wearing regular shoes. This week I'm going to speed walk. I'm nervous about running again.…

Hello, Made it to the doctor last week to find out my achilles tendon is inflamed and I have a heel spur right where the two meet. I'm in a walking boot for three weeks. Next appoint is 10/5. While its feeling better and I'm not having any pain when I walk around without the boot, I'm going to hold off on any physical…

Sorry for the multiple posts. I had to delete my emoji. Weird.

Hi All. Vacation was wonderful but I didn't run. I did walk a couple of days. Now I'm bummed. My Achilles started hurting again Thursday. I've been limping every since. Making an appt tomorrow to get it checked out. The first time I experienced this was about 3 wks ago. The pain was sporadic and ended in about 5 days. This…

Hi everyone! I'm still here. Work got in the way of running last week. Vacation this week so I should be able to ge a few runs in. Have a great week!

Hello! Its been a month since I last checked in. I totally fell off the wagon and stopped running. I've been fluctuating about 3 pounds. I've been feeling really tired and sluggish. Well Saturday I decided enough was enough and went to the park to workout. I'm no where near being able to run 3miles non stop right now, so I…

Great work!!! Your results have inspired me to start tomorrow!!!!

@taeliesyn I can't imagine running 16 miles. I hope the weather cooperates for ya.

Today I increased my workout to 4 miles. It felt great to just run and walk until I reached my goal. 55 minutes on my feet and I am beat. ☺️ it was a great workout.

Sorry for multiple posts but they kept getting cut off

***continuation...... I like structure so that I can guage my progress. But I'm very hard on myself if I can't stick with the plan and meet goal. For now, my new goal is to just RUN. And my plan is NOT to have one. Each run will be 3 - 4 miles. I will slow down when I need to and walk if I have to. No pressure.
-
***continuation...... ....and ditched second goal. I decided to jog 1/4mile and walk 1/4mile at varying speeds for the jog. On the second walk break I noticed I didn't need that long to recover so I cut it to 1/8. Then a light bulb came on and a little voice said try jogging at a slower pace to recover then increase the…

I ran I went for a run yesterday. The plan was to do 2 miles: jog a mile at 12 min/mile and then do w6d1 of c25k. I completed the first goal

Today was my first run in weeks. I couldn't get my head in the game and used my busy life as an excuse. I wasn't sure if I should repeat the later weeks in c25k or just move on. I decided I would try wk 9 of b210k. It went ok with a few adjustments. I walked 2 minutes in between the 10 min runs. I also only did 3 rounds…

32 minutes is awesome!!! Good job.

Half a banana works for me too. Sometimes I'll have a couple of peanut or regular crackers.

I've restarted this program many many times in the past. I recently graduated but the real challenge is continuing my running journey. My one tip on pushing through the mental road blocks is not to compare yourself to others. This was hard for me as I am very competitive. So whatever expectations you have of yourself,…

@JSC145 that's a great question. I get home around 4. If I plan to workout in the evening I'll eat a mid afternoon snack and hit the gym before 5. I'm usually hungry around 5:30. Depending on how light I eat I can workout around 7. This hasn't been working for me lately.

@MeanderingMammal I agree about having a plan to follow. I don't mid the treadmill. My gym has a cardio theater and I also watch movies on my tablet while I'm running. Tomorrow I think I will just jump into the b210k by zen labs. Today will be a rest day. Thanks
-
@taeliesyn and @MeanderingMammal - I'm strictly using the treadmill for my training. I agree with everything @taeliesyn said about why bad runs happen. I'm definitely one of those people where all the stars have to align. The slightest thing can through me off my game. I also did c25k by distance so I was trying to do that…

I'm still on the treadmill. I figured I would transition to outdoors on my non-training days.

I like 5:30 am. I think I have better weight loss results when I workout in the mornings. I've done evenings too and they weren't so bad if I go straight from work. Otherwise life gets in the way and I'm most likely not to go. Although I haven't had the thirsty feeling, some mornings I wake up starving. When thus happens I…
