I currently am at 75 net carbs a day (carbs-fiber) and no more than 10-15 tsp of sugar a day. Now I am also on a supervised wt loss program, so im monitored. Naturally if your carbs are low, so will your sugar, they go hand in hand

For snacks I usually have the dannon fit and light greek yogurt, its really good thrown in the freezer for about an hour ahead of time! Also things like string cheese, and cheese sticks. I also use EAS protein shakes. 1-3 carbs, 100 calories, and 17g protein. They as well are good thrown in the freezer, ice cold and slushy!

I also find that after working out I am not hungry at all, and was having a hard time eating back my exercise calories. What I found that works for me if I have several hundred calories left, I grab a handful of walnuts or almonds. They are high in calories, and are a good fat.

wow 900???? i cant imagine any doctor setting calorie intake that low! if MFP is working I would stick with that, but as suggested earlier you call also see a dietician and see what they suggest as a safe calorie intake level.

ok gonna give thing a try, not sure it will work for me as i have a lot of weight to loose and my maintenance calories is 2602! thats a lot of calories and as of now i eat that many calories in 2 days.......

I personally like them myself. Somedays im not as good as I should be about getting fruits and veggies in. I usually have some at breakfast.

Yea I have been trying really hard to pack meals and snacks at home.

For me personally they are "extra". I tend not to eat them back;however if I need the extra calories that day because I'm hungry its nice to have the "extra" if I want to have a little extra something to snack for the day.

Getting ready to do a week of midnight shift next week myself...days with rotation.... This is the shift I am having the hardest time with eating well and getting in my workout since im primarily days.

Generally speaking I believe it's ok to occasionally dip slightly below the 1200, if it's just a day your not hungry, and don't feel like eating. Your body isn't going to go into starvation mode because one day you drop below. But it shouldn't become a habit.

Guess mine would be the time when my date informed me that since I made more money then him I should pay for our date, and got up from the table. We definitely went out again.......NOT ......what a looser!
