Good luck! You can do it!! xx

I've not read every response, so this may have been suggested, but what about nutritional yeast flakes? They're really yummy, taste just like cheese, have hardly any calories and are fortified with vit B12! You can even use them to make vegan cheese, though I've never tried. I love them in scrambled eggs and on pizza :)

Also meant to say, I eat 1300-1400 to maintain. I'm 5'2 and am a wheelchair user.

It's all in the diet!! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise ;)

This is such a lovely message! Thank you so much for writing! I really hope you're still working hard, I know you're just as capable and you'll get there no matter how long it takes. Feel free to send me a friend request! Best of luck!! x

I love getting messages from other disabled people who are going to get to work! No excuses, lots of compassion and learning to listen to your body! Always happy to accept friend requests, just make sure to leave me a little message :)

Please excuse if this is terribly dim, but are you just suggesting that you track in order to always meet your finer goal, or are you suggesting going over fiver goal is more harmful? .. out of interest! Ta!

By all means add me, just drop me a message, blank requests really bug me

Haha! I'm stealing this! Thanks!!

You're welcome to add me if that helps, I'm always happy to provide a little firm support ;)

Yes! That was a huge part of getting more active. Lots of people just can't use a manual chair, for loads of reasons. I couldn't have used one at the start either. I started using a big manual chair that had power support wheels on, and that was the perfect transition to using manual wheels all the time. There are often…

Fantastic story! Always pleased to hear from other wheelchair users/disabled people talking about how they manage too. There seems to little info for disabled people out there about how to manage weight and of course it's really difficult because we all need different things, but it makes it really confusing too! Well done…

Thank you everyone, such lovey comments, I'm hugging you all!!! x x

Try the website 'lift like a girl' for advice, that's a great way to start lifting and everything's explained for you. You can buy a little PDFS from her that has videos etc in so you know exactly what you're doing plus she talks about food and what to eat :) congrats on goal weight!

Me! I have a severe chronic illness, multi systemic like Lupus is. I'm a wheelchair user, I've lost 130lbs so far :) .. it's difficult but not impossible! You just have to believe you can do it!!

Hey Golden, Thanks to Sugaraddict for giving me a heads up to this. I have to say I'm really shocked that you're not getting better help from your Dr's! I have a feeding tube, so I have lots of ideas for you, but I need to know a few things first, if you're happy to answer them. The good news is I really do think there are…

I'm so envious, I'd love to have been raised by a pack of lesbians! We did start a willing to be friends post a few weeks ago, but it's dropped off the bottom of the page. I'm going to contact the moderator and see if she'll pin it up other wise we just end up with a bunch of posts about adding people over and over!…
