  • I've always seen and used this one http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ seems to be pretty accurate.
  • You should be able sync it in the Up app. Hit the menu icon in the tip left corner from the home screen and goto apps. It was one of the 1st ones listed on my app under All, but you can scroll through to food as well. Once it says syncs everything should be good to go.
  • Haha...I messed it up so ETA: Cream your butter & sugars for as long as you possibly can. Also...when making cookies refrigerate or freeze for a few minutes before baking! They will not be puddles! Oh, and you can never use too much vanilla extract! I often double the amt called for in recipes.
  • AMAZING PROGRESS!! It's stories like these that motivate me and make me SO ready to start lifting! You look fantastic. Great job!
  • Well, I can't answer your question completely...but I am an avid fan of cooking and eating bacon. I bake mine in the oven until it's perfectly crisp. I drain grease 2-3 times while baking. I can only figure that lowers the fat content of the actual piece of bacon. You are probably consuming a bit more calories & fat when…
  • Again, THANK YOU ALL for your advice and tips. Yes, it would've been nice to not get put in jail...haha...however, a lot of us have made stupid decisions involving driving after drinking. Some of us just get caught doing it. In the long run, I'm thankful to have never hurt anyone and to finally get these issues over and…
  • Hi! Thanks for your input! I agree with the TDEE probably being lower. Working on figuring out how to be a bit more active (besides working out) the days I'm locked up all day. I only quote you to say that I am definitely not "winging" Insanity. I've written down the work outs move for move and watch the clock. In…
  • Thanks for this. I have already made some huge positive changes already. I'm well-educated and am not an "in&out of jail" type of person. A few dumb mistakes have cost me a lot and I refuse to let anything even close to this experience happen again! And the pounds do count...the better shape I get myself in, the…
  • That is correct...work release for 5 outta 7 days...so not terrible... And the gals talking bout the 5 in yoga mat............GENIUS!
  • Haha...sounds about right....although I am kind of bummed there's no weight room in the jail... Also, thanks everyone! I've been trying to stay positive and even started meditating...we'll see how that goes! I guess I hadn't really thought about the stress since I've been pretty up beat through this so far. I can imagine…
  •   That would be AWESOME!
  • It's just jail...not prision
  • I'm still losing inches slowly...so that's better than nothing, right?
  • The 2.5 days I don't get out for work I'm more sedentary than I used to be. On nights I work it should be about the same as before. Except maybe 15-20 minutes of walking my small dog...
  • Hi there! I just started my second round of insanity right after the first round! (Insane? Maybe a little... ) After round 1 I lost over 30 inches and 20 lbs! I was very out of shape when I started and it was pretty hard even to get through the fit test. My quads hurt "insanely" bad for about 3 days. But I toughed it…
  • A couple weeks ago I had a crazy work out day and decided I was going to get a frozen pizza. I just stuck with Tombstone 4-Meat. (Choices are limited in my small town!) I usually loved these and over the course of the afternoon & evening I would have normally eaten the whole thing. I had the calories banked to eat like…
  • Hi Everyone! This is my progress in a little under 2 months! I've been doing Insanity and eating right! I'm pretty impressed with these side by side....I look in the mirror every day and sometimes it's a little discouraging when you know there's progress but you just can't quite tell! I started at 170 and now I'm 153! I've…
  • Blending cottage cheese is fantastic! It can easily be substituted for sour cream :) Very similar. I like to mix half a packet of hidden valley ranch and some garlic powder in a 16 oz container of cottage cheese. Delicious, and would be awesome as a veggie dip. I think there's some good recipes online for a super low fat…
  • You're words are truly inspiring!! You rock and look FANTASTIC!
  • Hello! I am on Day 47 of Insanity! I've lost 20.75 inches on 12 (it could just as well be 10 because my calves WILL NOT shrink!) body parts and...just got on the scale the other day and I'm down 17 lbs! In the beginning, I was trying to stay around the 1300 calories mark, but last week I tried to keep it around 1500-1700…
  • This is a good thread!! Awesome answers! Being an avid cook myself, I find it awesome to see people saying "I enjoy cooking for myself a lot more!" I have a hard time going out to eat because I don't like spending money on food I know I can prepare at home that is tastier and cheaper. I think my answer to this question is…
  • OP- I feel EXACTLY the same way! It's crazy to think that after just 5 weeks my brain has changed it's thinking on how I view my body! Sure...there's still plenty of jiggle and cellulite....but noticing muscles slowly coming out is kicking any bad thoughts of that jiggle to the curb!!! My brain says, "Ooo...I'm excited to…
  • I'm a huge fan of the buffalo ones as well!! I like to mix ONE servings worth with low fat cottage cheese! It's sooo yummy! It's nice for a little calorie bump when you're running low for the day!
  • Your English is just fine! Better than a lot of the crap I see on facebook! Egg whites are a great source of protein and low in fat. And you do need some fats, eat nuts (I LOVE almonds!!), avocados for the good healthy fats! Have you checked online for cheaper protein shakes?
  • Kudos to everyone!! I just finished day 28 today!! I've been eating very healthful and keeping to the work outs! It is hard at first and to be honest...it's still hard at day 28. BUT I feel amazing after the day's work out, and each time I find myself pushing a little bit harder and digging a little bit deeper! I'm taking…
  • Push through a couple more days!!! My legs stopped wanting to murder me by day 5. I just finished Day 24 and the work outs don't quite get "easier" but it's because every work out you are able to do a little more!! And in just 24 days I've lost over 12 inches and finally seeing weight loss. (5lbs!) Plus...I feel GREAT…
  • The first few days are the hardest....my legs hated me and stairs made them very unhappy. But seriously...get through the first 3 days and your muscles start to actually like it!

  • On day 23 today and I'm FINALLY seeing pounds come off. But...since week one inches have just been disappearing! About 11.5 overall on 12 body parts in THREE weeks! I did no exercise besides working 45+ hours a week before starting Insanity and it started pretty rough, but now I'm getting better! I still take breaks and…

  • Hi! I've been in foodservice for just over half my life now. I picked up awesome cooking skills 10 years ago...and by all accounts I'm pretty good! I just started eating very healthy 3 weeks ago and have enjoyed cooking just as much, if not more than I used too!! It's really awesome to take a your first bite into an…
  • Three years ago I weighed over 215 lbs. I moved, and started working full-time again and eating differently. I didn't exercise and my diet wasn't uber healthy but since I wasn't just hanging out I ended up losing 40 lbs over the course of 8-10 months or so. Now I'm exercising regularly and eating awesomely, so we'll see…
