I'll weigh in Thursday if you want company?

Keep at it Claire! Doing better than me. I've been slacking. Starting up again slowly but I'm back at it again now. x

Thu 28 Sep 2017 - 7th weeks done folks! Oops! I got the decimal place wrong last week when I converted kg to lbs! 86.2kg is not 190.5 lbs, it is 86.2kg / 190.05 lbs so I looked in lbs to be almost 0.5 lbs heavier which would have made this week's challenge easier in lbs with a 0.5 lb head start! lol. So where are we this…

Thu 21 Sep 2017 Stay on it peeps! A little fluctuation is now't to fret about! Just keep the trend on the down slope! 190.5 lbs Same as two weeks ago. I guess I put weight on last week as I usually do when upcountry building as I am pretty sure I have lost a little this week so it all balances out. A hidden…

Still upcountry working on the build so can't weigh in on time this week. Maybe at the weekend.

Looking good there Claire! Progress! x

Wednesday 06 Sept 2017 Slim, Well done! Steady as usual! Habeeba! Well done! Don't ruin it with celebrations. Eat before you go and nibble on the healthy stuff only! Claire! Well done for posting your weight again last week. You know you can't indulge in take-aways 3 times a week and expect to hit your goals. You were'nt…

190 lbs Down 0.5 lbs from last week. 4 x 10k workouts this week. Eating as usual but maybe slightly more with the workout appitite added. RHR: 49 How you all doing?
-
190.5 lbs Same as last week. Fell short on my workouts this week. plus being away from BKK and not eating as usual has been reflected in the no weight loss this week, but as i usually gain while up there I'll take that. RHR: 52
-
OK Mark, I'll get started next weekend, as away with no bike this week, and try to catch up before the finishing line.
-
190.5 lbs. A loss over the week of 1.5 lbs. Happy with that. Will have my Bob the builder hat on next week so risk seeing that regained if history is anything to go by. RHR: 55

Habeeba300, The lower your heart rate the fitter you usually are and therefore the more efficient your body will become at using energy (calories) so that is (partly) why your fitbit, or other calculators, will show a lower calorie burn for a lower HR. One exception to this is a heart issue like Bradycardia which can…

^^^ There ya go Habeeba. My HR shared!

Date: 10th August 2017 Challenge SW (10/08/2017) - 86.9 kg / 13st 10lb / 192 lbs Current Weight - 86.9 kg Ideal/Goal Weight - 69.3 kg / 10st 13lb / 153 lbs Resting HR - 55 OUCH! Not converted kg to lbs for ages! Seems I have gained serious poundage since last year's low point. Looks like we have "roughly" (+/- 6 lbs) the…

You are welcome! lol I'd have made you do 2 or three hundred if I'd had more time and had not broken that spoke nipple!

Congrats to all the jersey winners! Special congrats to Derek who seems to have pipped me at the post for not one but two jerseys and the fighting spirit honour! Cruel Derek, cruel! lol. Well done to the other Fighting Spirit riders for showing such commitment. And Good job to all who put rides and effort in to this…

No fiber, no volume, and not many nutrients so your body won't feel like you filled it up. Try a lb of broccoli as a starter. Nutrient packed, vitamin packed, fiber packed, and filling. Following that for desert, either a plate of oatmeal with cinnamon sprinkled on top, or maybe a baked potato, and you will still be low…

You could put 1 & 3 together into "Cycling (bikes) - advice, inspiration, and challenges"

I know Xmas is past bit I'll (non-alchoholic) "mull" this over a bit and get back to you in the poll
-
Ooh, now there's an idea. With all the n+1 enthusiasts here (me, I can just about afford to buy an "n" please Carol), and all the carbs we need to eat to power our cycling efforts you could compete with the other groups and appeal to a wider group by calling yours "Forget about Carb cycling and carb up with Bike Cycling"…

LCHF can lose weight. Whether they can keep it off long term or not is questionable at best as high fat diets are not good for your heart, or other deseases like diabetes. People can just as easily, and more healthily, lose and maintain a lowerbody weight on HCLF diets IF they eat the right carbs, ie whole food plant based…

You get all your essential fats from whole foods without adding or cooking with oils. People have survived for centuries quite healthily before refined bottled oils were produced by getting all their essential oils from whole foods. If the object is to lose weight in the most efficient quickest healthiest way then do not…

Don't know much about pcos and Scoliosis so not sure what your current diet would look like but I suggest that "Vegan" is too general a description. A lb of deep fried chips/fries smothered in ketchup are vegan but so is a lb of baked potato smothered in a cooked pure whole chopped tomato sauce. The first has way more…

Take care Hawkeyegal. Health and safety comes before MFP challenges every time despite how great they are!
-
It is a fairly long 23.5km loop Mark so I do get a decent bit of variety and it never seems to be the same loop twice as the large Monitor lizards or the (usually small) snakes, or the herons (I think they are Herons, at least they are Heron-like), or the 5 or 6 loose dogs, or the groundsmen on their tractors or in their…

Great. Probably won't need mine immediately as still no sight of a usable wheel, so I may be a late starter in catch up mode from my get go whenever that is. Good luck at the cardiologist.
-
Mark, Are you going to have time to issue Vuelta updates of those wonderful event Dossards? Would love to be pinning one on to temporarily replace my kilt on my MFP profile during the Vuelta as I'm a bit worried the sporran will get caught in the chainset on a long gerbil ride.
-
Can I be number 8 please? Gonna need the motivation to get out there again.

Congrats to Team Pastana, and all the winners on your great performances but also to all the competitors as I think we are all winners just getting out there riding and putting our all into the challenge and reaping the cycling improvements, the fitness & health benefits, and the big smiles and feelings of satisfaction…
