  • I did the yoga workout on New Years day. I thought it was on the easy side though I can't wait to be able to do the inverted chair pose!
  • Hi all! I am a 38 year old mother to 4 2-legged (2 mine two acquired by marriage :) and 4 4-legged kids on the Oregon Coast. I work for the Department of Corrections full time and teach at the community college part time. I started the Classic Schedule yesterday, though my diet sucked due to brandy and eggnog. I wish they…
  • Starting today on the classic schedule. I have done other Beachbody programs and love them! I am really looking forward to doing this and supporting each other. I would love an invite to the group :) Heather
  • My husband uses Runkeeper and really likes it. I think after I finish the C25K program I may just do it again only use it as an interval trainer to increase my speed. I know I can do long slow distance but I never really challenged myself to increase pace (it is so uncomfortable!) Nice Job on your longest run ever!!!
  • Wow @redredy9 Seriously? 19 miles? That is awesome...one day I will get there, but not too soon :) I start pushing to increase too fast and I will end up injuring myself (again). Everyone is doing so great getting their runs in. This group has really helped me to stay on track. I got my W4 D1 done yesterday (sort of) I…
  • SW: 145 Week 1: 142 Week 2: 142.2 So I am up .2 from last week, but seeeing as how I was up to 146.5 at one point last week I call 142.2 a win!. This week will be tough as I just started my period (sorry if that is TMI).
  • Got W3 D2 of C25K done this morning. Thanks in large part to this group....didn't want to report another failure to my workout buddies!
  • Been a tough week for me. I had part of my large intestine removed in April and I have been having pain and issues in that arena this week.I made the mistake of weighing myself midweek and I am back up to where I started (145). The only thing I can attribute it to (other than my intestinal issues) is my weekend cheat day.…
  • My family all being together. It is the only time of year my siblings come home and I get to spend time with mom and everyone together. My favorite is cooking Christmas dinner together.
  • Week 3 Day 1 of C25K done this morning! Felt good, especially since I almost didn't go at all :)
  • I successfully completed week 2 of the Couch to 5k. So far so good...haven't reinjured my hip/butt so I have to call it a success! Week 3 should be better yet...right?
  • Starting weight= 145 Current weight=142
  • This sounds fabulous! I will try it tomorrow. My usual breakfast is a toasted piece of Dave's Killer Bread (21 Seed) smeared with a half an avocado topped with a poached egg with salt and pepper.
  • Spring mix salad, with fresh tomatoes from my brother's garden with Salmon and Caper salad made from the Chinook Salmon I caught last week.
  • I started doing the "You are your own Gym" app workouts. If you have a smartphone it is available for android and iphone. It is a good starting point. I used to be a drill instructor at a prison bootcamp. I used to do 500 lunges and 200 pushups a morning with those guys. I have been in an office job a few years now and did…
  • Week 0- 145lb. Gotta be better about Friday nights at the bowling alley! (This was Saturdays weight btw)
  • I had a terrible weekend, workout wise. I woke up Saturday with a sore throat and a little congestion. Went salmon fishing all day, which wiped me out and we didn't even catch anything! Sunday was still feeling a little under the weather and just sluggish. Cleaned house and watched football. This morning I still am…
  • I sooo agree with measurements. For a long time I didn't lose a pound but I lost inches all over. I think I may do measurements as well as weight just for my own motivation/sanity!
  • I like this idea. I plan on weighing in this Saturday, if for no other reason than a starting point!
  • So, yesterday I didn't get my run in. My daughter really struggles with her feet and we went to get her new shoes. Took an hour of trying on different running shoes but I think we found some. I am going to try to get in my run this evening after work. It will be a tight squeeze since I bowl tonight on a league :) dorky but…
  • When I did my half-marathon I lost four toenails to training. They turned black then fell off. Not the most attractive look :) but I wore it with pride!
  • Push ups, sit ups etc. are considerd calisthenics...this is listed under cardio
  • Hey all, I have been losing and gaining the same 15 lbs for years. My goal this time is to lose that and then a few more to get me to my goal weight of 125. I have always been a fitness nut and at one time was actually capable of running a half marathon and doing Insanity. Since an injury last year and surgery (unrelated…
  • Hello everyone. My name is Heather, I am 37 and on the Oregon Coast. I am 5'3'' and weigh 145. Would love to get to 125 by Christmas. This time last year I was training for my second half-marathon and tore my gluteus medius (yep! I broke my @ss). I have just started back running and am on the second week of Couch to 5k. I…
  • I am in. That is a perfect goal for me and great timing too! I have been really bad about logging my intake, as of late. I decided to get back on it today and get this done! It is almost the time of year eggnog comes out too :(. I definitely need an eggnog accountability partner :) BTW, my name is Heather, I am on the…
  • I am at the beginning of the third week of the second month of Insanity. I am 5'3'' 137lb and have lost a couple sizes though no weight at all. I am much more muscular than I was at the beginning of the program as well. I have gotten many many comments from people asking me what I was doing. Insanity is a great cardio…
  • I am on the second week of the second month and I am addicted. I bought Asylum to do next but I have had such great results from Insanity that now my daughter, mother, and friends want to do it with me so Asylum may have to wait another 2 months! Take extra breaks, drink lots of water. The p90x results and recovery formula…
