As it turns out you were correct. Didn't work. I now have cut out all of the sweets I was eating. Since the last time I posted, I have lost 10 pounds. I have 5 more to go to meet my goal.

I am 67. I did go to my dermatologist. She said it could be hereditary. My father lost his hair in his 30s. But I am so upset about it. By whole foods, what do you mean?

I do not consider my surgery a failure. I did go down to 160 but broke my ankle and gained 20. My original weight was 235. My choices when I was sitting on my butt for 2 months (one month in cast and the other in a boot), were terrible plus no exercise. Failure - not. Happy about weight gain, yes! But now that the ankle is…

I tend to graze. I'm about 3 years out and have gained 20 lbs. due to broken ankle. Need to lose this.

Good to see so many of my messengers back. I too am about 3 years out. Gained 20 lbs. also because of broken ankle and sitting on butt for two months. Trying to get back on track and lose the 20. I know my clothes will feel better. Love fitness pal.

I'm in a dilemma, I broke my ankle last year and put on 20 lbs. First in cast then in boot. So two months on my butt. Not happy about this. Very hard getting back on track. Could use some ideas. I had sleeve surgery 2 1/2 years ago and was doing great till last year. right now at 184 and my perfect weight is 165.

Does anyone use Viactiv Calcium plus D dietary supplement? Contains 500 mg of Calcium - 500 iu of Vitamin D and 40 mcg vitamin of K. This tastes good. Easy to take. This is in addition to my multi-vitamin.

Hello..................... I posted this same issue not long ago - and yes, you told me to love myself. And trust me, I do - I had a recent visit with my surgeon, nut and psych. They all told me to watch what I eat and lose the extra 8 pounds I put on. Initially I freaked - gone up 8 lbs.! But I look healthier. Your advice…
-
All I can say is WOW!
-
10 pounds does make me look better in the face - but it does jump up my size from 8 to 10. I'm just grateful that I was able to lose the weight and be healthy.
-
Thanks! I guess that is why we still see our Psychs. I will be seeing him and my surgeon and nut next week. It is so frustrating. But so worth not regaining.
-
You look great!
-
That is great news! I have always looked at it this journey as becoming healthy. Losing the weight and looking fabulous is a perk. But being healthy - not getting diabetes and not having a future heart issue, is more important.
-
saw your before and after pictures - that is amazing - you are doing such a great job.
-
wonderful answer - I've gained 8 lbs. in 18 months, as I have said before. need to lose it before it goes to 10. back to protein and walking more.
-
I'm 18 mos. out. I can eat about anything - but ice cream, milk, breads, don't sit well with me. I have to watch the binging. other than that - doing well as I had complications after surgery with anything going down.
-
Binge eating is I just keep eating - my choices are not good. things like Hersey with almonds bars, ice cream, etc. - - not good. Wrote to my psych. and he encouraged me to eat protein items and come in for consult. Skipped the visit but plan on seeing him, my nut. and surgeon in November. trying to eat more yogurt,…

I had a stricture but it was early on where I couldn't eat or drink anything - they did about 5 endoscopies and finally they put a balloon in it to open up the stricture. so far that has worked. I was sleeved on 3/27/14
-
I will chime in - as the others have - you look simply amazing!
-
OMG - everyone who posted looks fantastic. Good luck all on your journey going forward.
-
congratulations! what a great feeling!

I've been celebrating by wearing all of my "small" clothes i had put away (in anticipation of getting thin again). The only items I have been purchasing are lingerie items. But my suits, pants, jackets - all are fitting me - some are even big.
-
Actually I have revised my goal based on how I was looking. don't want to get too thin. At this time I went from a size 18 to a size 12 - my goal is a size 10.
-
Don't make little of your accomplishments - that is wonderful. You have lost good weight. Good Job! :flowerforyou:

thanks for the info :flowerforyou:

that is great - I am going through hair loss now - I had my surgery on March 27, 2014 and my hair started to fall out about 3 months after. I am so scared. It was good to read about your good fortune, I know they say it will grow back - but as a woman, we are vain about our hair. can you tell me your time frame for surgery…
-
So sorry you are feeing that way - but I have written about my exprience and it wasn't pretty. Although I had no pain - i did have complications - ended up in the hospital twice for a total of 18 days. Every "body" is different - some heal faster than others. try and be patient (easier said than done) - i am feeling much…
-
congratulations on such a huge accomplishment - also, thank you for your emails of encouragement - ;)
-
that is wonderful - congratulations

what I had done was save all of my good and expensive clothing in plastic bins (after dry cleaning) and put them away - I originally was a size 8-10 - so when I started to loose weight from 234) - I went shopping in my closet. I have lost 60 pounds and have not needed to buy anything new except lingerie.
