Another 12.7kgs and I'm back to 'parity' (the weight I was when I originally started MPF back in 2011). Normally, I don't use weights as goals, but right now I just want to be back to what I was so I can 'start' again.

You have lost almost exactly the amount that I need to lose! It's always amazing seeing people have already done what I am just starting - thanks for the inspiration.

I have a back brace that I'm supposed to use on a daily basis to help passively reduce the stress that my scoliosis and Shauermann's puts on my spine. I haven't been wearing it as I've been too big and it cut into my arms and stomach. Had a minor car accident on Friday and really felt the need to have it on and it fits…

THAT'S THE BEST!!! Well done!!

This weekend was the worst. Like, The Worst (capitals and bolding necessary). But I never once even considered going off plan. I just keep thinking that it's about the only thing I have control of, so I can't lose that.

Oh, I'm still a relative newbie (4 months and 27lbs in) but here are my experiences: 1. You'll lose a lot in the first two weeks. A lot of that is water weight, so don't freak out when weight loss slows or even stops a month or two in - your body is undergoing a major change, particularly if you were on a very high…

I just had to tighten my activity tracker by a notch because it was slipping around my wrist =) It’s been some week for NSV’s for me!!

In Australia, we tend to be a bit blunter about things. A typical conversation about my weight loss will go. Other person: Hey, you've lost weight. Me: Yep Them: Nice. Occasionally followed by "How'd you manage that?" Conversation done. lol

I’ve had two today: 1) put on an outfit I normally wear regularly but somehow haven’t for a while. As soon as I got dressed I went “oh wow, that’s loose” and realised how differently it fit me. 2) got mum and dad takeout for dinner, served it all out, ate one chip then didn’t blink not having another one. Didn’t feel…

Today, a retired colleague popped in for a visit. As we are both coeliac, she bought me a lemon meringue pie that was gluten free (not realising I am on LCHF). Not wanting to hurt her feelings, I took it and put it in the fridge. Fast forward 12 hours and I Just crawled into bed and did my nightly inventory of ‘what did I…

Making lemonade out of the most bitter of lemons shows your inner strength. All the best! x

Feel free to add. I'm on keto and IF, so my food diaries often look weird.
-
Mate, if you can kick alcohol to the curb, I have full faith that you'll get on top of the weight! Congrats x
-
Hey hon. Feel free to add. I'm on keto and looking to get back onto IF (due to metabolic disorders).
-
^ This! Also this! My other distractions are running the dog or writing.

Trying to get back into IF after a period without. I used to do 16:8, with an eating window from 11am-7pm and hope to restart tomorrow.
-
LMAO. Yes! That! No more front butt!!
-
Done! Always lovely to make a new friend.

Hey bud, welcome to MFP. My advice is to form a strong support network, in real life and on here. Be honest with them and let them support you through the good and the bad. It makes a huge difference. Good luck! Feel free to add me x

Recognising when I genuinely want something vs. when I'm reaching for it as a crutch. If I want chocolate, I'll go through a few little questions to myself: 1) Do you actually want chocolate or are you just generally hungry/thirsty? I'll reach for a boiled egg or water and sit with it for a while. 2) Scale of 1-10, how…

OK, so this is a little sad - I have this thing where I lift my belly up and realise that the pressure and heaviness isn't going to be there forever. That's what I'm looking forward to. Not having the belly that hurts me and makes me uncomfortable all the time.
-
Thanks, mate. Still no answer but I figure it'll level itself out. =)

I'm not worried. I am doing this under the care of a doctor, I'm just sick of people who are able to lose weight using 'traditional methods' having a go at keto. My Godson has been on keto for the last 3 years to control seizures and he's a kidney transplant recipient - I highly doubt that his medical team would allow him…

Hey bub. This line sent me into a tailspin. I remember holding my best mates hand tightly as she begged me to let her go to the toilet after eating because "I ate more than I should have". I sat with her through the worst of it, let her drop off to sleep in the classroom (she slept a lot in those days) and then reported it…

* I can now watch people eating breads and cakes and instead of thinking "Oh, I wish", the only thought that I have is "yuck" * I have stuck to this diet through one of the toughest times of my life without feeling like I'm denying myself. * Even when I'm not losing weight (I have medical issues that make weight loss very…
