  • The first time I got acid reflux or Heartburn i mistook it for a heart attack, and when to hospital. Now i know what it it is I tend to ignore them, but a near empty stomach will bring on heartburn sometimes for me, and dieting is one way to get heartburn often, just drink plenty of water regularly if it keeps bothering…
  • Maining weight now for over 8 years, I used to weigh everyday, then decide to allow once a week, then once a month, now I can gladly say it's now only once a year. Sure I make sure I had a good healthy week before I step on.
  • I'm well over 3 years in maintaining, It's been easier than I thought, and I'm still learning new things about it everyday, and I still log too, and sometimes I wonder why.
  • Actually it's the easiest when you start, I've nearly completed my third year of maintaince, finding it a lot harder each year, but i'm managng and fighting it all the way...
  • I wear 3-4 jumpers on at once, 2 beanies, and 2 pairs of pants everyday at minimum, more layers if it's very cold, something tells me I feel the cold more than the average person.
  • 1. Keep Active during the day 2. Avoid eating after 7pm 3. Eat foods that your body needs (vegetables, etc), and not what you want. 4. And if you planning on a cheat day, spend your calories well (not junkfood)
  • Thanks for all suggestions, it's turns out, I started a new job, got very active, sleeping patterns changed (much less sleep), including last amounts of daily stress due to the unreliable public transport system, and of course the scale hitting high numbers, like I was out of control even that my eating habits didn't…
  • that 143 steak its the same entrie I've using for years, but yeah, but yeah angry I nearly starved myself for a few days, today I had a nearly 1000+ cheat day, as I felt hungry, week, and moody, which this eat more to lose trick in my mind. All I do know, Ive been retaining a lot of water weight, this week, as I start a…
  • Thats another thing I was thinking, i'm getting older than I think, right for now on, no more icecream after dinner.
  • I just like to look at that sort of thing as a "loan", depending how much you overate, you will pay it back by the end the week, decrease your calorie limit.
  • My weight loss mode only lasted 10 months, rest has been maintaining, despite my increasing inaccurate I still have no plans to stop yet anytime soon.
  • For over 2 years maintaining, yes I sometimes get very sick of logging, refusing to over-eat, etc. And yeah you can always just "throw in the towel", but before you decide thinking back (way back if you must), the long journey it took you to get to this weight in the first place, I'm sure it's something you don't want to…
  • Ive been logging for over 2 years now, and i've developed bad logging habits. I log everything after my last meal at the end of the day, starting with the food i last ate, as it's easier on me to count everything backwards. But yeah I tend to skip the little things like carrots or chewing gum, they are hardly worth the…
  • It's not a great feeling on logging here for a few minutes to see how much exactly you gone over, but it's best to get it out of the way ASAP, I mean you'll feel worse if you don't, or put if off for a while.
  • Funny enough, popcorn, ice cream, and the occasional slice of cake is a part of my "new foods", it's much better than my old diet with 10+ sausages a day, including 10 pieces of bread, and cheese, it turns out to be much less calories than my "old" meals. I live on a budget, it's be nice to eat a footlong subway everyday,…
  • weight can going move in only two directions, up or down. You can never be statistic, even my cat never weighs the same, maintaining is all about ups and downs, something we have no choice but to live with.
  • I wish i could feel full after just 1 slice of pizza, if I have a slice then I just feel even hungrier and feel like eating the whole pan, I've never felt "full" it in a very long time, which is probably a good thing, if I ever feel full again, I would know that I gone well over my calorie limit.
  • That's fantastic! I'm living half the person I used to be (57kg lost), and it is truely, Life has now begun, no longer do I have to avoid mirrors, photo's, videos or reflections of me to remind me of the mess I once got myself! Anyway congratulations, and enjoy your new life to the fullest!
  • I think it this way, snacking it only a temporary fix, it's only going to eliminate your cravings for a few hours, just think ahead before you grab that chocolate bar, at the end of the week would you rather be 3 pounds heavier or would you rather see other results instead?
  • Me on day 645, and still learning, what I had learnt don't expect your 2nd year of maintaince to be easier than the original, this year I,ve so slowly creep up with some bad eating habits, and seen my weight continue to slowly, me fooling myself thinking don,t worry it's most likely just waterweight, now I got 2 choices,…
  • It's i've been maintaining for 13 months, and gradulately I lost more weight than originally planned, You eat more, so you burn more calories faster, in turn unexpected weight loss, but today it's good to be 15 pounds under your original goal weight, more cheat days ahead.
  • 15lbs is a bit extreme, sounds like your actually gaining then losing, mine can be anywhere around 10lbs, which seems to depend on the weather, and also notice I fluctuate in much bigger range at maintaince than the weight loss mode.
  • I accidently go over my limit nearly everyday, 500 extra calories is not much, and you probably could eat that much anyway, but just be more careful tommrow.
  • Why people think it's important to weigh your food, i'll never know, my estimating not only help me losing the weight, but also keep it off.
  • It's great for showing your body, who's boss, I now finally hit 1 year of maintaining but nearly at 600 days of loggin, obviously a big portion of that was just the weight loss journey.
  • 3kg increase is nothing, I sometimes gain up to 6kg in 24hours depending on the weather, and my sodium intake, but as the above poster states, I end up losing it all just a fast as I gained it. Weight is funny thing.
  • True maintaining for me, is all been about occasionally skipping meals, but actually even that I DO eat lunch or breakfast, I tend to add in everything I've eaten in 1 or 2 categories, I count anything else besides dinner, a "Snack", in the end of the day, all ends up the same score. Probably just the hassle of having to…
  • That could be it, I live on an average off 2,500 calories a day, but some day I just eat 1,700, and then 1,800 then 2,700, and 2,800, then back to 1,700 again and so on, and feeling hungry quite a lot, maybe that's it, maybe better just to return to 2,220 - 2,300 a day everyday and not more one day and less the next, etc.
  • When I reached my goal weight I was thrilled, then came the massive weight flucations that go with maintaince, it was annoying me, so I decided to slowly a dozen more pounds, so I'm always at least just below my goal instead of at my goal. I believe being too thin causes miserabley, irriaitibly and depression, if you think…
