I think it all boils down to the fact that our bodies become use to the exercise and don't need to exert as much energy as we improve stamina and endurance. I walk on the treadmill all the time, but as soon as I see that my heart rate isn't staying in the zone I want, I know it's time to start pushing myself more.

I've noticed that problem (going into the red) on the app, but not on the full website.

This. And weighing everything I eat.

I'm averaging 3500-4000mg of potassium a day now and I do it by having a green smoothie every morning with leafy greens (kale, chard and even broccoli) and fruit. Really, mostly all fruits and veg contain a lot of potassium, so no need to rely on bananas. Whole milk, nuts, chicken breast all have a good amount as well.…

I could polish off a 1.5 QUART container of mint Oreo ice cream in 2 days. After eating all day, I would occasionally fix an entire breakfast at midnight (eggs, toast, hash browns, bacon etc...) Eating so much sodium (4k to 5k daily) that my ankles would swell to 3x their size. I have the stretch marks on my ankles to…

Jeez girl! You look amazing and, most importantly, HEALTHY. I've got over 150 pounds to lose and it's great knowing that I don't have to kill myself doing cardio to reach my health and fitness goals.

Treadmill 35 min at 5% incline

-My food scale -My bathroom scale which measures weight, bf% and h2o%-it's much more informative and helps give me a more in-depth look at where I am. -Whey protein to help meet daily intake goals -I leave my fruit and veggies on the counter so they're front and center whenever I want a snack.

I have a green smoothie every morning and I love them. My skin has greatly improved and my digestion is great. I use Nutribullet and it does a great job. My favorite at the moment is: Kale Cucumber Lemon juice Chia seeds Frozen banana Ginger All mixed with filtered water. This one usually tops out at 180-250 calories…

I used to think it was impossible to hit my potassium goals everyday but since I've incorporated more fruits and veggies in my diet (through green smoothies), I actually go over 3500mg most days. Plant-based foods, chicken and dairy seem to have the highest amounts.

You sound like a success to me! Pat yourself on the back for a job well done thus far.

Fantastic! And I'm very impressed that her bariatric surgeon told her she could do it naturally.

God bless you. I'm in complete awe of what you've accomplished. Thank you for sharing your beautifully truthful story! Here's to many more healthy, active years!

Lots of water and potassium-rich foods. Potassium regulates sodium in the bloodstream. And of course, keeping your sodium in check. Safe travels!

Feel free to add me :-) . My goal is 180 lbs total.

I just ordered my first 12 pack from Amazon for $24. My body can't handle 17g of fiber in one sitting (learned this the hard way). So, now I cut them in half and eat one half each day as my post-workout protein recovery. It tides me over while I prepare my next meal, and it helps me stretch one box for 24 days.

Fantastic! You did what you had to do for your health and stuck with it. Cheers to you!

I'm going to Europe for two weeks in October 2014, and my goal is to be down another 85 pounds by then. We're going to Disneyland Paris and there's an adventure hike I'm dying to do, and the weight limit is 240. So my goal is to be at 230 by the trip.

I eat whatever I want, just not all the time. I try to stick to my macros as closely as possible, which keeps me from feeling hungry and binging. Funny thing is, ever since I became more conscious about my eating, what I WANT to eat has started to change. I actually crave veggies now. Go figure.

1. Logging everything honestly. Even if I go WAAAAAAAY over. 2. Nothing but water and decaffeinated tea after 8PM. Night snacking was my nemesis, so I just nixed it all together. 3. At least 1 gallon of water a day. 4, Food scale. It forces me to see what a true portion size looks like. 5. Fun workouts. Most of the time, I…

Your story made me very emotional. You are a true survivor! May you continue to be blessed and be a blessing to others! I'm going to print out your story and read it whenever I'm feeling sorry for myself. Thank you.

You are absolutely amazing! May God continue to bless you and your family!

YOU. ARE. AWESOME.

"Looking back on my time, the most valuable days were the ones where I logged my failures or where I exercised when I really didn’t “feel” like it. Avoiding the reality of our failures and shortcomings is avoiding a big part of our lives and who we really are. Success comes from accepting the whole me and concentrating…

Exercising at least 30 min/5 days a week Watching my sodium intake CLOSELY Making myself go to bed by 10pm (so I can get 6 hours) Drinking at least 12 cups of water (even more when I go over my sodium or exercise) Packing healthy snacks for work so I don't slip (I work in a pastry kitchen) Measuring my food on a kitchen…

I actually AM a pastry chef and I find this whole thread a little hilarious. Anyone who has actually been to culinary school understands that pastry chefs are artists, not murderers. We take our craft quite seriously and the quality of what we produce is IN NO WAY remotely similar to the GMO and HFCS-laden garbage sold at…

Just printed this out! Gonna tape it on the wall next to my treadmill. Thank you for sharing.
