This is the best answer. You will notice changes very quickly with all your training if you tweak your diet to suit you.

I could not agree more. Good luck and well done.

Great topic and a great thing to think about on a Sunday. I went into the heavy weight room in the gym on my own for the first time. Something to celebrate!

Go for it. It is intimidating I could not agree more. But like me I'm sure you will find everyone is helpful and always willing to encourage. I lost a large amount of weight but it's the free weight room that has started to make a difference. Well done you. I wish more women would pluck up the courage.

I try to have something with good fats to fill me up until lunch time. Avocado on toast with a little lemon and black pepper, or full fat greek yogurt with nuts and seeds with blueberries on the top. I can't forget my coffee though, washed down with one litre of room temperature water.

I have been looking into it and I think cold turkey is the way to go. I will set a date and stick to it. I will invest my money in gum and mints! I also thought I would put the money I would have spent on cigarettes into a separate account, I could use it for my PT sessions. Thanks everyone, I know I can do it and if I put…

What an inspiration. Brilliant, not only do you look good, you must feel so much better. Well done, thanks for sharing.

You can do this. The support on here will be plentiful. When I started in June 2013 I did not tell anyone either, but then people started to notice I was losing weight and my eating habits had changed. One thing though I never say I'm dieting, I'm eating healthy and reaping the rewards, for me it's a total lifestyle…

That's fab, yesterday I went shopping and there was a sale on and they had a dress in a 16 or a 20 and I'm an 18, so I picked up the 20, the assistant in the changing room said the dress was too big and she would get me the smaller one. I explained there were no more 18s and she said I should try the 16. I really did not…

I always look online and see what they have on the menu. I then always seem to go for grilled fish and veggies. I avoid salads with dressings. I also over estimate, which some people may say is wrong, but I like to be safe. The other day I went out to a pizzeria with a large group of girlfriends, I had pizza and asked for…

This is really interesting, I'm not at my goal weight by any means. I have lost 121lbs and have gone from a 48 DD to a 40 C and the C cup is getting a bit big now. Everyone always comments that I have lost my boobs and butt, it gets to me a little bit as I've always had them and now they are disappearing, but so is…

You look like a totally different person, great job well done, an inspiration too many.

Buy myself a new mulberry bag.
-
Sounds great. I'm putting that on the menu for tomorrow.

I can't say I've plateaued as such but my weight loss has slowed down. I'm eating the same healthy diet and exercising 6 times a week which matches the start of my journey. For me I think it a natural thing to slow down. I often worry about hitting a plateau but hopefully my worries won't become reality.

One day at a time! Love it! I will never forget your story, you told it so well. I don't know you but I feel so proud of you. Your friends and family must be bursting with pride. Well done, you are truly inspirational. Wow is all I can say.
-
Fab, you look so much younger, it's unbelievable, you should be so proud of what you have achieved. You look healthy and young, what more can anyone ak for. Well done.

I could not agree more. I had a clear out earlier.

I just had to go and buy new gym shoes this morning. I have gone down 1.5 sizes and can now buy a regular fit. When I started this journey I had no idea my feet would also slim down. I have spoken with a few people and they have also said they can now fit a regular shoe.

My goal is 12 to 13 stone, I'm just under 17 now, the photo was taken on New Year's Eve. I do think you are right. My partner cannot understand why I can't see what I have achieved, I do work hard at it and I am proud, it's just not brain has not caught up quite yet. Thanks for the nice comments, they are much appreciated.

I used to find eating out really difficult, however now I find it slightly easier. If I know where I'm going I will look online at their menu and work out what I want in advance. If I order a salad I always ask for the dressing on the side because most places put way too much dressing on and its the dressing which can be…

I started my journey on the 30 June 2013, I was 338lbs, my current weight is 240lbs. Over Christmas I put on 4lbs, I believe most of this was through wine! Within a week I was able to work it off, thank goodness it felt good getting rid of it after all my hard work. I still have 100lbs to go and I really don't think the…

I will give it a try, it sound genius!
-
Thanks everyone, that is really helpful, I think I started to get a bit fed up with the comments, but I agree perhaps its quite a big change and people don't really know what to say.
-
Welcome back. I have sent you a friend request, as with you I find the support very important.
-
Thanks everyone. Yep my arms have always been big, in fact thinking about it I have lays felt conscience about them. I was relieved to see one inch come off, can't wait for more to go. I have never been a patient person, but I think with this I will have to be.
-
I'm sure you're right, it just seems to be shifting everywhere except the arms. I guess I should be more patient, I may try a kettlebell class, it can only help I guess! Thanks.

I have to admit this made a tear come to my eye. Wow it is truly inspirational. Well done, you are amazing.
