OP, where are you from? That is cool that you board your horse with Olympic horses. Also, I LOVE that she is making excuses despite having just received advice. You didn't take our advice quick enough, so you are making excuses! OP, please try the good ideas and come back and tell us how they worked. :)

I am afraid of the extra skin, but I am also very afraid of being attractive to the opposite sex. Don't want to go in detail, but there was trauma, blah blah. The point is when I do get male attention I freak out. I am trying to focus on the fact that I am losing weight so I can be more athletic because I love it. :)

I eat the chicken skin too. Is there even an entry so you can log it? I tried once and didn't find anything

I just finished Descent today (forgot the author). Are you on Goodreads?

Thank you for the article!

I don't get this either, but I have seen it happen to my friends and my brother (who is married). Apparently not eating the exact same thing as the family is rude to some people. If that is the case, and you are willing to modify your day for the idea of family unity, you can eat a healthy meal from the Chinese place and…

First off, does NNY mean you live in New-New York (Futurama reference :) ) But seriously, I notice that working out helps my depression sooooooo much. It's like having an additional anti-depressant! Anyone can add me if they like. :)

And it provides you cab fair afterward! :)

Oooooooooooooh, I see. I thought you were calling out a specific MFP member. Knowing this makes me feel more comfortable with the thread. :)

Who's Virginia? I never got to meet her when Train introduced her to me in that song. )joke) Seriously, who's Virginia

I love the name of the places. They are calling all the people who eat there cows. I find that fascinating.

Sorry that happened. Some people have a hard time dealing with car accidents, dealing with being wrong or at fault, and many other things. The only thing I can recommend is to give yourself some self care (take a bubble bath, have a drink (if that is your thing), maybe even have some decadent dessert (if it fits your…

Actually it can be. I have known people in the S&M subculture that I would say are addicted to pain. I think your idea that someone can only be addicted to certain substances is pretty invalidating. I kindly disagree with your opinions.

You didn't mention sex....

Yes, I believe in Food Addiction. I am a recovering addict (alcohol and pot), and I do not get offended when people say one can be addicted to food. In fact, when I was in rehab I was specifically told that a person can get addicted to food and that a recovering alcoholic/drug addict needs to be vigilant that they do not…

There are two places selfies should never be allowed: Anywhere other people are changing clothes and anonymous meetings. That being said, I think the selfie craze is super annoying, but to each their own. Maybe once I get fit I will take more selfies.

Personally, I don't wear makeup at the gym (but I have in the past when I got there after work and had forgotten my make up removal wipes). That being said, I have seem women at the gym that looked like they put on heavy makeup and a particular outfit just for the gym. This coincides with an article I saw the headline to…

There is a specific group for Binge Eaters on MFP. I would suggest going there. The first thing I would recommend is to look at a calendar and mark what days you ate well and what days you binged. It sounds like you have 7 days eating well and 1 day binging. That's a HUGE win in my book, and something you should be very…

I don't think I have done a good enough job unless I am sweating pretty hardcore. I tend to sweat the most on the back of my neck (not sure why), but once I cut my hair short it got better. I also wear a hat to get all that head sweat.

I found some articles that reminded me of this thread. They may be a fun read (or view for the fitness one). http://www.cracked.com/blog/the-7-jerks-you-meet-in-every-gym/ http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/weight-loss/tips/advice/gym-etiquette/ Personally, I agree with #3 on the Cracked article. Don't need to see all the boys…

I don't usually eat back my exercise calories, but I have had some binge days this month, so I hope the days I don't eat back my exercise calories help offset the binge days. Also, MFP says I burned over 1000 calories for 45min of elliptical. Now, I do HIIT on the interval, so I probably do burn on a lot, but over 1000?…

Andrea - 9 The Binge - 4 No Logging/Dishonest Logging - 2 I love this idea. I didn't realize until just now that I am kicking TB's behind this month! Also, I see a lot of people post after a binge and they feel terrible. I know that feeling, but I think you are all amazing for coming to this site and admitting TB…

I take my doggie for a walk, read a book, or watch TV. I also come to the MFP forums or read fitness magazines to remind me of my weight loss desire. Oh, I also have a thing with my cat called mandatory cuddle time. She's not a big fan.

Yesterday I chose a healthy dinner over a binge at my fave fast food place! Also, I LOVE this thread. I want to like and congratulate everyone for their victories! You all are great!

Hello. I am def a Binge Eater and Food addict. I recently quit drinking (had to go to rehab to do it) and now my brain tells me that I want to Binge all the time. Yesterday I was upset and crying and my body was screaming to go binge. No thought of drinking, just wanting to binge. I talked myself down from that ledge, but…

I agree. I LOVE the bell.

I agree and disagree with this statement. I get that discussing sugar or food as an addiction can lead to an all or nothing situation (since that is the way to stop an addiction to drugs/alcohol), but I disagree that thinking about food as an addiction (which it can be) does more harm than good. For one thing, there is…

Yes, I wasn't specifically talking about you (although the way I worded it does seem like that). My apologies, I will try to be more concise :)

To me it doesn't seem like the OP is scared. It seems like he is annoyed that his friends aren't respecting his boundaries. I am annoyed that some people on this forum want to jump straight to "the OP has no will power"
