Hi! I'm 36/f/5'5/175lbs/with a baseball team of preteen/teens. I have a fit bit Alta and used to use a charge. If I eat the nearly 3000calories a day that fit bit gives me I gain weight. (I average 22000 steps daily) I have to cut my fitbit adjustment in half. I usually get an adjustment of 1200calories daily so I quick…

Hi! Our stats are similar. I'm 5'5/F/177lbs/35yrs with a weight loss goal of 10-15 more pounds. (I've lost 100lbs) I run 25miles/week (been doing so for 3 years) and my fitbit also trys to tell me that I'm burning about 3000+ calories/day. I gain weight if I listen to my fitbit. If I eat about 2000 calories a day, I…

Hi, I have a disease very similar to RA called palindromic rheumatism. If you do a quick search on Google I think you'll find it matches alot of your symptoms. I'm treated (by a rheumatologist) with the usual cocktail of rheumatoid arthritis drugs. I started experiencing flare ups at the age of 17 and still have mild ones…

Yes, it will! Ive lost 100+ lbs and didnt really notice a big difference in my belly. The difference 180---> 170 on my stomach hs been huge! Keep going, u got this!

I started with the mindset that i could do ANYTHING for 2 minutes. Gradually, I built up from there. Now (2yrs later) i can run 10k, if i want. Good luck and have fun!

I struggle with the same jealousy of petite women. I'm 5'5 and 175lbs with a lowish (who really knows?1?) bodyfat. I have an hourglass shape and it's great but i'm never going to be a petite woman. After 4 kids (including twins) and 100+lb loss, my hips aren't going to get much smaller than 40" no matter how low I get my…

I started at 275lbs with the goal of getting to 200lbs. From there i changed it to the top end of healthy weight range for my height, about 155lbs. As my losses have slowed to a crawl, i've changed my goal to running a marathon. Sometimes it helps to focus on something other than a number on a scale. Congrats on your…

Been feeling down latley, struggling with the last 15lbs. (After loosing 100lbs in 2 1/2yrs) I fit into size 14 jeans comfortably, this time last year i was squeezing myself into 16's. (And im actually 4-5lbs heavier than this time last yr) Yay for weight lifting! :)

3-4 coffee loaded with tons of cream and sugar daily. I had to switch it out for tea after trying it with less cream/milk/half n half/sweetners ect. 95lbs down and yes, it was worth it but i still miss it!

95 down here. (I was up over 100 and slipped up) also a fitbit user. Feel free to add me :)

Let me tell you a little story... I'm a 5'4/33yr old female that spent 8-10months loosing 1 lb a month, after having lost close to 100lbs over the course of 2 1/2yrs. Then i stalled for a couple months. In the beginning i set my settings to sedentary and never ate back exercise calories. I ended up with dry skin and hair,…

I started at 275lbs. (33yr old female) I also made huge changes to my food, very similar to you. I lost about 5lbs/week for almost the first 2 months. My results aren't typical, i have a joint disease and inflammation probably played a role. It will slow down. I say enjoy it while it lasts. I will caution you on leaving…

I refused to give up my cream and sugar in my coffee for a very, very long time. I made lots of other substitutions in my day. Eventually when i started cutting down on my cream and sugar, i realized i don't really like coffee unless its mostly cream and sugar. I switched to drinking tea with milk and sugar. Now i can have…

Your story really resonated with me. Good job on changing your life!!! I've gone from 300lbs to 180lbs. I also always identified as the big girl. I'm glad to hear that i'm not the only one struggling with buying new clothing. My current wardrobe is too tight or a little too loose. It's frustrating! I was wearing lots of…

I forgot to mention, i'm a runner.

I can't comment on loosing better in my 20's because i spent my 20's having kids and gaining 100+lbs. However since getting my fitbit and almost doubling my calories (for 6 months or so, i was eating 1300/daily for 1lb/month loss) I've started loosing 2-3lbs/week. I'm 33yrs old. Shrugs* I'm not sure if this would apply to…

I had a horrible dream one night that I up and died of a heart attack, leaving my husband alone to raise our 4 boys. That combined with spending a couple years taking care of my mother for completely preventable weight related medical issues. At the same time I had recently turned 30 and realized that in the past 10 yrs I…

It absolutely helped my shoulders when my physical therapist applied it to my shoulders.

We have 4 (almost) teenage sons who eat ALOT and despite my husband working full time and my working part time, our grocery budget needs to be stretched. I save money by buying in bulk, using coupons and I plan my weekly shopping trips/menu's based on sales. I make sure to do my shopping mid week as often i come across…

We had salsa chicken, baked sweet potatoes, turnip and fiddleheads.

Not silly at all! My background on my phone is a family Christmas photo taken 2 years ago when i was 105lbs heavier. When i'm at the gym and i think i can't possibly work out for 5 more minutes, a swipe of my finger can motivate me :) Whetever works!

I treated it like it was my job to loose weight. I knew to weigh and track food and to exercise. I knew to consume less. So, i put my head down and just did it. 2 years later and i'm down 100+ lbs, now i'm shooting for a "normal" bmi. (20-30 more lbs) U can do this if you want to, good luck!

Hi everyone, I'm 5' 4.5" 33yrs old and started at 275lbs. Currently weighing in at 178 with a goal of 150lbs. (July marked 2 yrs since i started) Not sure i'll make that goal as I'm at about 20% bodyfat now. But i figure if i spend the next 30 yrs trying to loose the last few pounds, I'll still be wayyy healthier than i…

Hi Sarah, If your forgetting to eat because of medications i suggest eating by the clock.Or you can carry on as you are but at some point your gonna wanna stop loosing and then its really gonna feel like your force feeding yourself. I have the opposite problem with medications causing hunger. I also deal with chronic pain…

When i was 44% body fat and regularly overeating, i never felt the belly rumbling hunger. Not for the 15 years i lived this way. Now at 22% body fat i get the rumbles and sick feelings. I've put alot of thought into this as i still have 20lbs until my goal of loosing 125lbs and the only thing i can think of is my body now…

I went from being childless to having 4 within a couple years. (Yes, twins) During pregnancy, breast feeding and the 10 yrs that followed i managed to gain close to 100lbs more than my pre - pregnancy weight of 200lbs. Delivered pizza for supper anyone? It wasn't until my boys became pretty self sufficient and I turned 30…

I lost about 80lbs the first year, 20lbs the second year and i'm just now starting into my 3rd year. (30 more lbs until I'm in the healthy category) Everyones results will vary. For reference I'm a 33yr old, 5'5 female, with a starting weight of 275lbs. Good luck to you!

In, for the responses you get. (I'm in a similar situation except I've been in deficit for 2yrs)

Hi! It's hard to say without knowing your hight and weight. I have lost 105lbs and have been wondering the same thing re: my goal of 150lbs being too low. I'm fluctuating between 170-175lbs.(My thinking is that I probably have 10lbs of extra skin and I have tons of muscles for a girl) I know I still have some to loose but…

I've been feeling discouraged this month because my 4 little ones are done school for summer break, which basically means I miss my gym sessions for the next 10 weeks. My first yr on MFP I lost 90lbs. My second yr on MFP I've only lost 15lbs. I measured myself today and I've lost 2inches off my waist! Super happy
