  • I think in order to get an accurate answer, you should ask a professional who has studied your type of diet. We're all laypeople here who, through trial and error, either pass or fail. Some of us completely abandon our prospective diet once a goal weight is reached. You get that? Now, here's my take on it: Do not eat…
  • You can really see how beautiful you are! Great job!
  • Considering you're low carb, have the paper-wrapped chicken, wor won ton soup, shrimp with asparagus, and/or steamed chicken with green onion and ginger. You can even have roast duck, or mushu pork, chicken, or beef. Just toss the pancakes and sauce! Bon Appetizer!
  • My 8-day OMAD experiment wrapped this past Monday. I resumed the 16:8 protocol. I didn't lose much because of my two 4 oz glasses of wine every night. I thought I could continue to drink because I wasn't consuming any calories during the day, I would make it up with the wine. Wrong! Alcohol hinders weight loss and I've…
  • I'm done with it, this past Monday. It wasn't for me and I resumed my 16:8 protocol; it's much easier and I'm not ravenously hungry at dinner time and I eat my allotted calories. On the 24-hour program, I couldn't possibly eat 1650 calories a night. I barely ate 500, believe it or not. You are NOT as hungry as you think…
  • I have my answer about the wine. Yes! Also, I drink herbal fruit teas, sweetened with EZ Sweetz or Swerve.
  • That program was a bust for us. I only lost 14 lbs in a whole darn year! My husband lost 20. I just wasn't comfortable NOT eating in a 24 hour period, so we went low carb. We lost weight with low carb, but then switched to low carb/high fat. Both plans are great healthwise because my indigestion & heartburn stopped, and I…

  • I'm 5'6", 60 years old, and my goal weight is 130 lbs. I researched the maintenance calories and it came back at 1650 per day. I think 1200 calories is not enough calories for me.
  • OMG!!! That's a lot of weight to have lost. You're going to be at goal in no time. Stay with us!!! I, especially, love success stories and hope to share mine with you as well.
  • I have 3 cups of coffee (black) and water for the whole day. I'm confused when people add fruit, milk, sugar, coconut oil to their beverages. Doesn't adding calories stop the fast? I read this on Maria, Mind Body and Health: Keto-Adopted's website. She says the bullet-proof coffee ends your fast because of the coconut oil.…
  • Here's a question: I don't do fruit, sugar, or starchy vegetables. I love avocados and serve them quite often with our meals. We will have, on occasion, some blueberries and peaches. I read somewhere on this thread, that someone uses coconut oil in their coffee (bullit-proof coffee). The oil negates the fast because of…
  • Hi, everyone, I'm new and today is my first day on the OMAD program. I'm 5'6", 60 years old, very active, and weigh 177.5 lbs since my weigh-in last week. I started off doing Atkins '72 and tried staying in induction with a group of ladies on a low carb forum. I lost 24.7 lbs., but I stopped losing weight. I then switched…
  • Today is my first day of OMAD, and I'm excited! I have a whole garlic-mayo chicken in the oven roasting. A whole cauliflower steaming for mashed cauliflower, and a pan of okra, Campari tomatoes, and red onion, tossed with red wine vinegar and olive oil, and red pepper flakes. I can hardly wait to dig in!
  • Wow! This is my first day and that sounds so wonderful. I was super busy today and didn't even realize, I'd worked the whole morning up, until 4:00 p.m. I didn't really need to occupy the day because I had my coffee and glasses of water with me, but I'm doing some mild renovations around the house before I go back to work.…
  • I didn't realize I was here! I subscribed to your youtube channel and am very impressed with your success. I love reading success stories, and how you maintain your loss. No excuses, no gains, just sharing your journey with others. I start my OMAD tomorrow morning. I am ketogenic and not a junk food eater. I am a wine…
