  • My husband grew one when we moved to Texas last year. I love it. It took a bit to fill in. Grew in a bit patchy. But it looks amazing now. And he keeps it fairly short.
  • You can't control what happens in someone else's house, unfortunately. Consistency would be the most helpful thing here. If she won't sleep in her own room, perhaps a small bed in the corner of dad's room is a good goal. Three kids in, none of them have gone to bed the same. This last one (currently 2 1/2) knows which…
  • It may take a while. But. The time is going to keep marching on anyway. Might as well get to it! :)

  • I'm a mom. :) I have a 10yo, an almost 6yo, and a 2yo. Happy to have a busy newsfeed. :)

  • That. I have big ol' quads. And a little cellulite, too - but lots of muscle.
  • I don't like my streak to be too big. Isn't that weird? If it gets around 25 I start to feel like maintaining it is too much pressure and I skip a day. I also changed my settings so my streaks aren't posted in my news feed. I just can't do it.
  • 5'6" and I bounce around a bit - but I'm around 145lb. I'd like to see the 130s but as my body fat is already 21% at 145, I may have to work harder than I want to in order to see it. Wearing a size 4, pretty dang fit and capable, and my stomach is flat as a board, so I'm not making myself crazy over the scale.
  • I can't speak to all schools but ours are peanut and tree nut free. Peanuts aren't actually nuts - they're in the legume family. Closer to soy and beans. But people react just as dramatically to actual nuts. It's scary.
  • This is only a problem if you let it be a problem. I kind of think that was nice and considerate, him telling you in advance that he won't be hungry at dinner. I've made lots of dinners that my husband wasn't hungry for. But even still... that's not a problem. It gets eaten for lunch the next day.
  • You guys are fast. This horse is terrifying.
  • I love spin, but I go to classes. I'm certain I wouldn't work as hard on my own. Maybe with a pod cast. And yes your legs are engaged for the majority of the time, but your body loses fat however it wants. Spin took about 5" off my hips in the first six weeks, and did not a single thing for the size of my thighs. lol
  • I'm going away for a few days with some girlfriends in a couple of weeks and you know what I'm going to eat the whole time? Everything with peanuts in it. All I want is peanuts.
  • I have three kids and the littlest one is allergic to peanuts. And when I say he is allergic to peanuts I mean peanuts can kill him. Peanuts. Can. Kill. Him. As in dead. As in forever. He's only two so I don't have to worry about sending him off to a world where peanuts are everywhere just yet. I do carry an epi pen…
  • I was going to suggest BodyGlide as well. :)
  • Same.

  • You'd know better than me. I still feel a little ... squinty side eye of suspicion ... over it.

  • Is there someone you can ask? I have to look really hard for the little 2 1/2 lb plates. I think my gym might only have the two, and they get hidden or literally cast aside. Ask someone who works there to help you find them, if you haven't already. And if you have - then I'm sorry. :( I don't know what to tell you. I'm…
  • I scrolled back a bit and found the back story. Good NIGHT, what a jerk!! It makes me a liiiiittle suspicious that he felt you needed a trainer and GUESS WHAT?! He happens to know this trainer over here! Out of the goodness of his heart, I'm sure. There's no possible way he's trying to solicit business for his friend.…

  • I don't know what the back story is on this, but I still grinned at his review of your squat. Thumbs up!

  • Stretch. Eyeball myself in the mirror. Look out the window. I don't mind being bored for a minute. I wouldn't mind walking but there's only the one rack and the vultures circle if you look like you're packing it in.
  • For me it's been "anything that makes my muscles ache". I'm about five workouts into Stronglifts 5x5 (weight lifting) but before this I did BodyPump (I waited longer than I should have to increase the weights I was using - don't be me) for a long time and loved it. I've left spin class with jelly legs and interval class…
  • Sweetie, you had a loss this morning! A whole pound! The counting is working. I know i'ts weird to think about food so much in the beginning, and if it's really making you feel bad then you can stop. You can always stop. It's your choice. Absolutely. But what you're doing IS working. So I say brush this off, and keep up…
  • Thanks! :) Eating at a modest deficit, and going to spin (2x) and BodyPump (2-3x) every week for several months. I'm always a little hesitant to admit how much I liked BodyPump. But I did. Now I'm learning to lift weights, so I only go to one spin class, and one intervals class each week. I want to lose a little more body…
  • I like the machines. They give me something to do while I'm waiting for a bar. I guess I could stand there tapping my toes and glaring... or use the dumbells. But I like the machines. lol
  • It's a weird thing to say, but not uncommon. I have a friend who had bypass surgery this year. She's lost a significant amount of weight, but she has worked very hard for every pound. It hasn't just melted off, like people seem to believe it does after bypass surgery. The implication is that it's easy, and it's just not.…
