I love a coffee and vanilla protein shake in the morning!! Have you tried almond milk in place of the skim milk? A cup of unsweetened almond milk is only 30 calories, which I found really helped my calorie counts (I was using 2% milk) Cheers!

My terrier mix is my walking companion early mornings most days of the week. I add those exercise times into my daily logging, but it's the mental health benefits I gain the most from. We do 1-3 miles daily. Enjoy the bonding!

Hunibee59, I have the same struggle most nights of the week. I do really well with breakfast, lunch....but once 4-5pm hits, I could eat everything in sight! Something that's helping me out (I'm still working on this as well) is to make better choices earlier in the day so I'm not so ravenous later...I've learned I need…

It may not be for everyone, but I make my own frappucinos at home. I use almond milk, a scoop of protein powder and coffee flavoring (Oregon Trail makes different flavors that give a little coffee taste with vanilla, caramel or mocha). I use my Nutra Bullet to blend together and my total calories for the drink are around…

I agree with 3dogsrunning. It is better to get a quality shoe and prevent injury. Also, I've found a better shoe lets me move a little longer as it fits so much better. With all that being said, I do completely understand that cost can be prohibitive. Finding a sale, or an off color, can be a big help. I had my foot fitted…

I'm sure it's been said somewhere before, but make small changes first. Let them stick, then move on to another change. Trying to overhaul your entire diet or add exercise when you haven't done anything physical in a long time usually leads to frustration. I speak from experience here. It will add up, and you will see…

I am peri-menopausal (my mother was an early menopaouser at 50; I'm 47). Went to a GYN who put me on bio-identical hormones. Testoserone trouches in the morning and Progesterone drops on my wrists at night. I'm the exception I guess as I got NOTHING from this therapy (I stayed on this for a year and 1/2) even though tons…

I agree with most posters; plan ahead and pack some quick, easy healthy snacks as well as a meal. Sometimes you don't have time to sit and eat, so the snacks can be a lifesaver and prevent you from hitting the vending machines, or worse. I pack protein bars (Lara bars or Quest bars), cut up veggies (carrots mainly)…
