  • That really sounds like something I would do!
  • I wear mine right under my bra line. I usually tuck it under the bra just a teeny bit to keep it in place. Sometimes, you have to rub a little water under the sensor to get it to pick up your heart rate. If you were exercising, that would happen naturally, but since you aren't that might be the problem.
  • I have been struggling with the same thing lately. I was doing really well in October and November, then a bunch of family stress happened and I ended up getting off track. Finding my way back on track has been difficult! For me, I got back on track by crying! I know that seems weird, but I had to admit how frustrated I…
  • I don't have a wedding ring - but I am hoping for an engagment ring soon! I do wear a claddagh (sp?) ring every day and have noticed it has started to get lose. It only cost like 14 dollars, so I may have to replace it if I don't get another ring, lol. I'm curious to see what other people have to say.
  • I agree that 1200 sounds low. Try setting your goals for a 1.5 or 1 lb loss instead of two. It will be easier to stick to it over the long term if you aren't starving. The way I see it, at the beginning of this journey we need to start by making the changes we can. I am like you and find it more reasonable to eat 3 bigger…
  • You are a whole lot stronger than sugar cookies and cinnamon rolls! You have the power to decide if you eat them or not. Make the decision that works for you. :flowerforyou:
  • Take care of yourself and get better! Don't worry about what the scale says. Drink lots of fluids and get some sleep. When you are better, you can get right back to it. We all get sick. The key is it to take care of yourself.
  • Ohhh, good question! I have always thought that Bob would be the guy for me! He doesn't scare me like Jillian does! The thing is, I feel like I would want Bob, but I would need Jillian! I need someone who can get me to deal with the emotional issues and won't put up with the crap. A little fear never hurt anyone when it…
  • Running shoes. Cute work out clothes. (the 2x men's Tshirts really aren't all that falttering!) And a scale that tells me I weight 160 pounds!
  • Wow, I am tired just thinking about your workout!!! :drinker:
  • I was wondering that, too! Where was danny??
  • That is great! Swimming is such a great way to exercise. Keep it up! :drinker:
  • Is enthusiastic and helpful to other people here. Also, from your profile you sound like a great mom. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • Wow, that is crazy! Apparently they are planning to start a program in Massachusetts where restaurants (well, chain restaurants) are required to post their nutrition facts in the restaurant. I am hoping this program will be a positive change, because most people aren't in the habit of going to websites to look up their…
  • Hehe. :blushing: Anyways, I have only tried yoga a few times and couldn't get over the fact that I was meant to stand on my had. 230ish pounds, upside down, is just a rediculous idea! Other than that, I liked it!
  • You know what that means??? Shopping trip! Congrats on your progress! Scale will catch up soon.
  • The way I look at it is like this... If you are keeping your calories too low, your body will work to overcompensate for the loss. Your metabolism will slow and your body will say, "Hold up! I'm hungry!!" Assuming you are still taking in something, I would think your body would be able to do this for a little while. The…
  • I didn't read everyone's posts because I am off to bed in a few, but I did read the book and wanted to add my 2 cents. Well, I read 75% of it and stopped because I was done with it at that point! I would have appreciated a disclaimer on this book! I am not a vegan and have no plan to become one. I was looking for more…
  • I second the butternut squash ravioli, veggie egg roll and flatbread sandwiches. I also love the panini sandwiches, the sesame chicken (yum!), and the spinach and mushroom pizza. I have used lean cuisines for years as my quick meal. I really don't think you can go wrong with them. Obviously, they are not for every day, but…
  • If you are starving... listen to your body! Eat something healthy. If you have your goals set for 2 lbs a week, try setting it for 1 if this is happening every day. It has to be something you can do long term and you can't be starving long term. :drinker:
  • I haven't been on here much this week and haven't seen any of your posts up to this point. But I can "weigh in" on the subject... pun intended! There are a lot of people that come on here and want to reach an unhealthy weight. After being on here for a while, you get kind to the point where you need to stop answering…
  • Wow! That is amazing. So happy to hear your wonderful news! Many happy thoughts going out to you and your family! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • I bought all of the carmen electra striptease videos and didn't like them! They weren't really workouts, except for #2 I believe. That was strength training and had nothing to do with dancing. I have seen the flirty girl ad, too. I had to do all I could to not pick up the phone, lol. Looks like fun to me! I would also love…
  • I think MFP is enough to lose weight. This sounds like it is trying to help you incorporate higher and lower calorie days. I like to work in high calorie days occasionally to confuse my metabolism and a lot of people believe in that.... but trust me, you don't need a special program to do that! It just happens some times…
  • All of the above. :drinker:
  • So I wasn't sure where to put this thread... but, I was wondering if you put your total weight loss on your tickers (include whatever you lost before MFP) or if you put only your MFP weight loss on your ticker? I have my MFP only weight loss, but some days I would like to have it all to say that I really have come a long…
  • Your success really is an inspiration! Lots of thanks for all your great advice and for showing us that there is hope that we can all do this! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • I really like the way you said this! Makes a lot of sense to me. :flowerforyou:
  • I think it is because your heart rate doesn't increase the same way as it does when you are doing cardio and you aren't burning as many calories. I get around this by wearing a heart rate monitor and entering it all in with my cardio. You could also log it seperately as cardio, but it wouldn't add in the calories for you I…
