  • Ability to see nutrition info in web recipe calculator is still broken. I am not paying for premium again until the basic functionality of MFP is restored. Also, you need to add editing scanned ingredients in the app recipe maker. Your database is, not your fault, wrong nearly 100% of the time. These two issues make both…
  • Not refunding every cent of premium fees this month is highway robbery and will be remembered.
  • I think it's okay to eat just try to make sure you aren't getting too much saturated fat. "The American Heart Association recommends limiting the amount of saturated fats you eat to less than 7 percent of total daily calories. That means, for example, if you need about 2,000 calories a day, no more than 140 of them should…
  • Earth Balance is what I use too. Ingredients Natural Oil Blend (Palm Fruit, Canola, Soybean, Flax and Olive Oils), Filtered Water, Contains Less than 2% of Pure Salt, Natural Flavor (Plant Derived from Corn, No MSG, No Alcohol, No Gluten), Pea Protein, Sunflower Lecithin, Lactic Acid (Non-Dairy), and Naturally Extracted…

  • I double checked the numbers from the website thinking you had to be missing something but you are right. Only thing I can think of is to call or e-mail the company. Baffling.
  • Hogwash tastes awful, and I don't think it's sanitary. Stick with the pork, the extra calories are worth it.
  • It's all on electronic cards now, no change. But I'm sure you really did see that.
  • Might be a different variety of corn? "Supersweet corn are varieties of sweet corn which produce higher than normal levels of sugar developed by University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign professor John Laughnan." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweet_corn
  • If you want to use a sweetener, feel free to use sugar within your calorie allowance or any of the tested and approved artificial sweeteners, and don't stress out about it.
  • The medical consensus is that artificial sweeteners are safe to consume. I think people are addicted to pseudoscience that confirms various beliefs they have about food that are rooted in psychological hangups. There is a certain element of belief that everything that tastes good must have a hidden danger.
  • People seem to treat weight loss like it requires some voodoo magic of potions and rituals to ward off hunger. Why the (not bro) scientific approach, the one that seems to work best to me, is questioned is hard to understand.
  • Plain greek yogurt.
  • It's extremely common to get nauseous from hot tea on an empty stomach. If you add milk to the tea or eat something, even a very tiny bit, it tends to prevent it. Or, drink less tea, like half a cup at a time.
  • It struck me as a joke? The point being don't rely on random websites?
  • I believe the current medical consensus is that for a minority of people dietary cholesterol can raise the level of cholesterol in the blood. Saying "Go Vegan" is basically saying that as a first step he should eliminate all dietary cholesterol to see if he is one of those people. If not, then the other options are still…
  • Here is a nice regional breakdown. Northern India is a good example of a non-white population where lactose tolerance is the norm, but yes globally most people are lactose intolerant. http://milk.procon.org/view.resource.php?resourceID=000661
  • I drink light soy milk since it has a good combination of taste, protein, and low calorie. Hemp milk is also very nice but the soy milk is so much cheaper I just can't justify buying the hemp.
  • It's great, but it doesn't get as much attention as other meat alternatives because gluten free is very trendy right now and seitan is....pure wheat gluten. Fantastic for a vegan cheesesteak and many other applications.
  • I always leave myself late night snack calories and eat them the next day if I don't use them. Something about putting up a "YOU SHALL NOT EAT ANY MORE!" deadline makes me...immediately get hungry after the deadline.

  • 5 foods "you should never eat." 1. Plutonium 2. Shards of glass 3. Unexploded ordinance 4. Rat poison 5. Fugu prepared by a drunk chef
  • I'm obese. I've lost 38 pounds so far walking and using MFP to count calories religiously. I have experienced a significant reduction in appetite now that I am eating in an organized way. Everybody gets hungry, it's annoying in a world full of easy to get food, but it is not an impossible barrier to weight loss or a good…
  • Immature babies should stick with breast milk.
  • It seems like it could be healthy, like any diet, if properly planned for calories and macro/micros. It has to be a huge pain in the *kitten* though because things like eating out have to be near impossible. A vegetarian dish at a restaurant is expected to me as something even a bad chef should know he has to provide. A…
  • "My concern with the environment is round up resistant weeds. We are the going the same way we did with antibiotic resistance. If you put severe pressure on a species, it will try to get around it." So...don't use round up to kill weeds because then we won't be able to use round up to kill weeds anymore?
  • Your body does not digest sugar alcohols so they are calorie free. It's common in things like sugar free candies. Can give some people the runs though so be careful.
  • It is the best of popcorn toppings. I haven't really liked it when I tried it on other stuff though.
  • GM foods are safe and predictable. The alternative breeding method is to wait for random mutations to improve food, and then you have no idea what you are getting. With GM you know exactly what you have added and what, if any, safety concerns might be present.
  • It's not even just for health reasons that you want to avoid eating Jubjub bird. Have you guys seen the appalling conditions at Jubjub bird factory farms? It's disturbing and disgusting, I saw a documentary on Netflix once and never again will I support that industry. Anyway, does anyone know what to substitute for Jubjub…
