Welcome back. I too am just starting back after a long time away. Im starting back much higher than when I started the first time. Now at 260 lbs. Though I am here not just to lose weight, but to keep track of everything I am eating as I have some health issues that I am more concerned about. If you want to add me as a…

I've used the Turkey w/ low sodium seasoning instead, freshed veggies a little low fat cheese. Instead of tortillas, I use a romaine leaf.

Well said!! Believe it or not, I find that when someone new asks an "age old" question, I can answer it and think "why am I hearing this again" But inevitably, someone will answer with a way to help that I hadn't heard before. Keeps me more open minded to new ideas and philosophies to health, fitness & weight loss.

Congratulations on the stopping smoking!!! Love your hobbies and your faith, Owl. ;) Welcome to MFP! I find that people here are supportive and encouraging, and I hope you do as well. Feel free to add me as a friend.

I love teas and drink them often. My biggest down fall is the after dinner "dessert" time. I find if I drink a cup of tea, it helps curb the craving for that extra ice cream calories I dont need. There is a local tea shop here that sells loose teas and has a mango apricot, marigold, cinnemon blend that is just heaven!!!!

MOST of my clothes currently fit or a bit snug. I do have some old too small clothes that I have kept over the years (yes, years) that "someday" I will get back into. For the most part, they are all out of style. I should get rid of them so when I release weight, I can treat myself to some new duds...

I know the feeling as well. I live alone, but socializing is very difficult since not many around me have the dietary issues that I do. Hard to socialize when all of my "drugs of choice"(sugars, carbs, etc) are being pushed on me. For the most everyone here is helpful and motivational. Add me if you would like as well.

Way to go!! Awesome job!

I confess that I sometimes elaborate on the slightest excuses and setbacks, so other won't think me a failure. I confess I am fast becoming addicted to MFP, almost as much as FB. I confess I am a compulsive over eater, been to the meetings, may work for some but not for me. I confess I go out of my way not to be around my…

I know what seems to help me, so I am going to throw it out there. When I get a serious craving for sugar (esp the T.O.M.), I have found if I drink (actually sip slowly) a cup of a sweet flavored tea like raspberry zinger or a pomagranite flavor. I found a cute little tea shop in town and picked up a couple organic herbal…

<agreeing with EVERYONE here. Listen to a trained professional, your trainer. First, Kudos to you!!! I honor you for the pounds you have released thus far. Great Job!!!!
