This is a "nice" way to start the day, and I start my day similarly...however there is absolutely no science behind this. There are tons of people doing IF who don't eat or exercise until later in the day, and they still get great results. I start out my day with exercise and food because I WANT to, and it makes me happy…

I think you've got a great goal, and you will need a combination of strength training, cardio, and good nutrition to get to that goal in the healthiest way. Yes, look into hiring a (good) trainer to help you with weights. Do your cardio solo, or in classes. And use MFP for your nutrition...Boom, perfect storm!! Best…

I'm not sure what the numerical equivalents to a "buttload" or a "crapton" would be...but yeah, that's how much :)

Honestly, I'd try to just focus on being HEALTHY...don't weigh yourself, don't worry about your weight at all right now. Eat as much as you feel you need, just try to eat nutritious foods, and try to relax. This time with your baby will be over so quickly, and you'll have plenty of time to get your body back in shape, but…

What results are you looking for? Burning a lot of calories, perhaps, since these are cardio options? If so...whichever one you enjoy more, because you'll be more likely to keep it up long-term :)

Not to worry, OP, no one here is normal  I personally liked your post, and your enthusiasm. I think people just got hung up on a few key words, and kind of missed the point. What I got from your post is that we shouldn't limit ourselves--we are capable of so much more than we know. We can do so much more than we…

Totally disagree... Not everyone has to do it YOUR way to be successful. Shocking, I know...

Cheat days work for tons of people, including myself. It is just part of a lifestyle change for us. :)

I lift 6 days a week. Cardio every day. Took a while to work up to my current schedule though. I have probably had 10 or so days off in the last 3 years. I just feel "off" if I don't get a workout in now.

Yep. I don't think it's a big deal UNLESS you're one of those people who gets freaked out by fluctuations...if you are, then you should weigh less often to preserve your sanity :)

Yes, it is. Women compete at 4-7% bodyfat all the time. It's not healthy or maintainable. It's a very short-term thing. But to say it's not possible is incorrect. I concede a 3% margin for error, which exists with skinfold caliper testing. I was tested by a professional who works with physique competitors, however there is…

I just recently did a physique competition (photos in my profile) and came in at around 4.5% via skinfold caliper testing. I can tell you how I did it, but pm me if you want...no one here on MFP wants to hear about any diet that doesn't include Pop Tarts and Ice cream :) I don't care to argue with people on the forums…

Just do the best you can. You may find that the way you eat changes and evolves as you go along. Don't make it too complicated or you'll get discouraged. Calories matter more than anything else. Eat a little less, move a little more...don't get overwhelmed. You got this ;)
