I am eating low carb - no bread, pasta or potatoes and very little fruit - energy level is better than ever - I do not have that 10 am crash or the 4 pm tiredness that I used to have - I am over 55 and the weight has come off slower -- but it is still coming off and I feel better than ever. Biggest help to me was eating…

chop chicken breast, green pepper, onion, saute until chicken is brownish - throw in some canned tomato - serve over cauliflower - you will not even miss the pasta.

Have you tried cauliflower - Just steam it until al dente - then put your sauce over it - with the sauce over it - it looks like pasta. Try it

Best thing to do is take measurements - waist, chest, butt, wrist, arms, neck - if you exercise and eat healthy you will notice a reduction in those areas - but maybe not on the scale - try not to get too hung up on the scale - remember this is a process and a life style change .. I weigh once a week.

I can pull my 18W jeans (the ones without elastic) down over my hips without unzipped or unbuttoning - I was pretty impressed with myself!!

No bread, no pasta, no potatoes ... more protein, more raw veggies, small amount of fruit - watch the calories and exercise everyday ... works for me

Hello - you are awesome!

I try to think of it as a process rather than a diet - make healthy choices rather than unhealthy ones - I am sure you did not gain your weight in two weeks - so do not expect to lose it in two weeks - it is better to go for a size than a weight - and going down a size is always good ... Keep it up

Thank you!

I get up @ 4:50am, make coffee, get dressed, drink coffee, drive to gym, work out, drive home, shower, dress and at work @ 7. Took 3 weeks to get to the point where I didn't hate every second - that was in November 2010 - then it became a habit - THEN came daylight savings time and I reallllllllllllllllllllllllllly have a…

Hi... this happened to me - I am 57 years old - and I worked out, changed my diet, and according to the scale - didn't lose anything for 3 weeks - now I did lose inches and my clothes started to fit better and my skin got clearer - but the scale did not show any lose - I kept at it and quit eating bread, potatoes and pasta…

Hi there, For me exercise is the key - I am over 55 (okay I am 57) I really started my weight loss journey on 11/3/2010 and I have no idea why. It just happened - I joined the local Snap, hated every second of it for 3 weeks, then I found that it just became a habit and I had no choice and started craving exercise. I…

I agree - get rid of the word diet - for one week - avoid bread, pasta and potato - use the site to watch your calories - you will surprise yourself at how yummy nutritious food can be. Second week change your salad dressing to a lite or low fat - small changes will make a difference - pretty soon you will be reading…

I got into trouble with food by not listening to my body - I ate - hungry or not - so now I try to really listen to what my body says - if I am hungry - not bored or upset or because the food is there - I eat. If I am not hungry don't eat - keep doing the exercise - the full amount -

It took me about two months before I really didn't crave anymore - I try not to look at food as good or bad - and I try not to say I am on a diet - I am really trying to change my lifestyle and make healthier choices - a diet is too restricting. It helps to keep ONE box of 100 calorie yummies - and put off indulging in one…

You may even want to go to 1500 calories - but watch your carbs - and watch for hidden sugar - like in fat free yougart - I find that even small amounts of sugar - I start to get that sugar drop and get very tired ... Hang in there -- you didn't gain your extra weight in one month -- weight is just a number - try measuring…
