I'm 5'6 and have never weighed over 140 lbs. I wore a size 7 jean in high school and hated the way I looked. I always felt huge and "squishy". In college I was 105 lbs and felt great! I have a very small frame but , I also always had trouble working out and toning my body. So I'm either skin and bones or fat and bones. I…

Clear liquor and a zero calorie mixer like diet coke or club soda is good. Champagne has less calories than wine and bubbles that will make you feel fuller, but one glass of red wine is heart healthy and actually boosts metabolism a tiny bit for about 45 minutes after drinking it.

I want to wear 00.

Yea I agree with not buying many sizes down. I bought two size zero jeans and I could zip them up but they were a bit too tight to wear practically. I really hope I'll be able to wear them out in a couple months! I'm also getting married soon so I may buy a size down if it's "snug" but not two sizes too small.

My extra weight just crept up on me over the last two years. I thought it would just go away without trying but...of course it didn't. Cue MFP to help me out.

Thanks everyone! Friend requests sent. I do want to tone, definitely. My goal weight is based on my old college weight, so I just figured that would be good to shoot for. I do have a very very small frame for someone my height. But I think what I really want is to fit into all my old nice dresses haha

Hi Liz, friend request sent! Nice to meet you : )
-
Awesome! Friend requests sent. I should also mention that I have a gluten allergy and a bit of sensitivity to dairy. Which stinks haha since I used to love all those foods. Especially french fries.
-
Strange that once I stop having "gluten" I react so much more harshly now that a little bit sneaks in. Darn! Haha, thanks for the warm welcome : )

Your body is probably getting full with less calories because it's not trying to store a lot of energy anymore. It's burning fat and understands that it's 'ok' to use the energy it's stored up already and be thin! Yay! I say eat until your satisfied and then stop. If you are not feeling hungry or sick or worn out its fine…

Yes I recently was diagnosed with a gluten allergy, so no bread, beer, pasta, etc. then I've also cut out milk, cheese, yogurt, all dairy. I've also been trying to cut out rice, though I do love my rice cakes..

Parents huh? My mom used to get mad at me for eating two pieces of toast for breakfast. And calling me fat when I was 8. Uggg..

Ritalin, cigarettes, "eat every other day only" diet, vomiting, you name it. Been a few years since then though.

No one? I like "life is flow" and the classic, "moment on the lips, forever on the hips."

You can be whoever you want to be. Perhaps you are hungry because your body is craving nutrients and just vitamins, or even emotional love and security. Try relaxing, deep breaths, writing, yoga, or meditation. Feed your spirit as much as your body. And yes, maybe the 5:2 diet just isn't right for you. Try to stay positive…

I used to love oatmeal or yogurt, then I found out I am intolerant to gluten and dairy. So now it's fruit fruit fruit!

I think frame has a lot to do with it. I'm just under 5'6", and I feel chubby at 120. In the past I've been really happy at 105-110, then went up to 125. My goal right now is 100, to fit my wedding dress.
-
Also, go buy that dress! Keep it out in your bedroom visible all the time. When you need motivation, look at the dress or look at fitspo/thinspo photos online. Start a diet blog, update it regularly. Stack up fashion magazines equal to the weight you want to lose, then remove them as you lose the weight and watch that pile…

You can totally do it! I find with weight loss diet is #1 exercise number #2. Watching your calorie intake will make the most difference. I try to eat a lot of vitamin rich foods that are bright colors. So lots of raw fruits and vegetables. You'll also be amazed how you'll be less hungry and more satisfied with less food…

I'm also trying to lose weight for my wedding, and I've been pretty successful by cutting calories. Yet I'm still jiggly and soft so I'm also going to add a little strength training to tone, and I'm also trying Pilates and yoga for the first time. Yoga for wedding stress relief, haha! Just remember with weight loss, 80% is…
