  • Hummus can be either a dip or a spread. I've never heated it though. I like it with carrots as a snack but I also use it on chicken sandwiches instead of mayo or mustard :) Pita bread is a good companion too

  • My boyfriend and I are complete opposites too :) I know that he is a constant snacker (I call him a grazer). Maybe loading up on protein might be the best move for him because it's more filling than the junk he might be eating. Also, my boyfriend eats almonds if he's just looking for something to nibble. Most of all if he…

  • I agree with Atlantique (seeing if you can take some of the food home with you). Otherwise, try talking to your mom about your goals in your weight loss and see if she has some tasty recipes for maybe making her best dishes a little healthier. Moms are good about supporting their children to see them succeed and I think if…
  • That is truly inspiring! Good job on taking and keeping it off!
  • AWESOME JOB!!! That is very inspiring :)
  • Congrats on getting married and making it to your halfway mark! Feel free to add me as a friend should you need any motivation :)
  • I've noticed that the MFP calories burned never matches my HRM or even the machines at the gym (which I know are rarely reliable). I would go by the HRM but that's just my opinion. Whatever you do just remember to stay consistent so you are tracking the same thing the same way so you can see any patterns or trends. And way…
  • Adding weights to my workout routine. Now my workouts are different everyday and I look forward to them. With the addition of lifting weights the time goes by alot faster too. Also, seeing my calories lost after exercise has made me want to exercise more. Who knew I could end up being an exercise junkie?!
  • Good job! Every victory counts! Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks! Sometimes I think I'm just losing my mind :)
  • I love baking mine. Just poke some holes in the spud and rub some oil or butter on it and throw it in the oven (around 350 or higher) and then I just keep an eye on it and when it is easily pierced by my fork I take it out and enjoy. The thing I like most about a baked sweet potato is that you dont really need any butter…
  • Welcome to MFP! Everyone here is awesome and so supportive. Feel free to add me if you're looking for friends to help you stay motivated! Good luck!
  • Seeing as I spend most of my time at work I bring my meals with me (except dinner) so I enter in my major meals in the morning and then I see how much room I have left for wiggle (aka snacks) and then when I have my snacks I try to log in as soon as possible. It seems to be working for me to see the "big spenders" in my…
  • Awesome job!
  • It's a completely natural feeling to be jealous of someone that seems to have no problems getting to where you have been dying to get to in terms of weight loss. And even trying to convince yourself that everyone is different cannot get rid of the monster. However, especially when it comes to men and women, we lose weight…
  • Welcome to MFP! Feel free to friend me if you're looking for some friends on the site.
  • I agree that telling her (in a nonthreatening way) to hide them if she doesn't want to read them. Kinda like "Well did you know that you can hide posts from people you dont want to read?" Does she say anything like that to you in person or just on facebook? If she doesn't say anything like that off of facebook then I would…
  • You truly are an inspiration!!! Thank you for your post!
  • Awesome job! That is truly inspiring.
  • Welcome to MFP! We may be a perfect pair as I have the diet down but need motivation for the exercise :) Feel free to add me a friend and we can help each other. Cheers! :drinker:
  • Welcome to MFP! I'm kinda new here too so feel free to add me and we can feed off each other's excitement!
  • I'm new too! Feel free to add me (that goes for anyone) I am loving this website more and more.
  • That is amazing! You can definitely tell so stop double guessing yourself :flowerforyou: I look forward to your Ripped in 30 posts! This is really inspiring and now I'm pumped to get to the gym after work today. Thanks!
  • Light soups are good in the winter (or if you work in a super cold office like me :) I usually go for chicken and veggies. I make the chicken breast on Sunday and then cook microwave veggies every morning.
  • First off, congrats on the 32 lbs already lost! That is a huge accomplishment! I am having the same issue getting into the "mindset" of getting out there and actually exercising. I know that reading some of the success stories on MFP has helped me. For awhile it helped me to think "Any workout is better than sitting on the…
  • I work a desk job too and am in desperate need of motivation to hit the gym again. Feel free to add me (that goes for anyone)!
