  • If your goal is weight loss and it is working for you, I don't know why you should worry about it. Anyway, if these two questions help you out... Do you feel like you're out of energy? Hungry all the time?
  • I'm actually feeling great about this day. I feel happy. Maybe it's all the serotonin synthesis in my brain from the chocolate.
  • I went low-carb yesterday and didn't workout, as well as the day before that. Limited to 2000cals. Will you change your mind with that?
  • And one more thing... edlefevre... does that sweet tea really satisfy your thirst in hot days? It never did for me. In those really, really hot days the only thing I drink is water. Fresh water. I can drink like a gallon of Ice Tea from Lipton or any other kind and it just won't satiate me. But everyone's different, right?
  • Low carb it is. Thanks MrM27. Oh, don't worry about it trogalicious. I find it very hard for me to freak out about anything :D. I'm more of a "what has been done, cannot be undone, so f**k it" guy
  • Man I love unsweetened tea. Try getting used to it, like I did. I still can't go without my tea before bed lol. When you're on a strict diet like I was (I eat sweets now when I can fit them in), when I wouldn't have any sweets and/or any calorie dense food, for months, I actually started liking sugarless tea. My favourite…
  • I eat 3-5 pieces everyday, including apples, bananas, tangerines, kiwis and strawberries. But yeah thanks for the tips. More tips would highly be appreciated :P
  • I used to weigh 86kg a year ago too... at about 75kg I hit a plateau and just couldn't lose weight anymore.
  • Hey fatdoob. Thanks for your answer. I have considered that, thing is I don't really wanna stop doing it because I've seen more results in a week with IF than I have seen in a month with the diet I had before (textbook weight loss diet... caloric deficit, 6 meals a day... got really tired of that).
  • What matters to me the most is the caloric deficit. To compensate on not eating vegetables and fruits, keep taking the multivitamin supplement. It doens't replace those vitamins and minerals completely, whole foods (in this case, vegetables and fruits) are still your best choice, but those can help a lot.
  • Honey is the "healthiest" sugar there is, but try to add sweeteners, like stevia. 0 calories that way.
  • Somedays I just feel like having a lot of coffee, and it never harmed me in any way. I don't feel "extra energy" or those "caffeine shakes" when I drink more coffee "than what I should". If you want to have "more than you should" , go ahead and test how your body reacts to it. But seriously now, I don't think it's bad for…
  • 1200 is low enough. Man, how do you guys "survive" by eating so little? To keep it simple, just trust MFP. If you're exercising that day, add the calories you burned in your diary and eat more :)
  • Raw carrots. Weird I know. I love the texture and the somewhat "not so sweet" flavour. Good thing about it is that I can eat a ton of them guilt free.
  • Maybe it's because you're only on day 3? Lol. Most people react differently, and that's just the reaction your mind and your body is giving to you. Drink more liquids, eat more protein and veggies to make you full... you know, the usual stuff.
  • So... are they trying to make you a vegetarian or something? Lol
  • What's the deal on drinking powerade post-workout? I thought that was intended for intra or pre workout... I never drink those and any isotonic drink btw. Waste of money in my opinion.
  • Oh I forgot another one. It's an appetizer we eat a lot here in Portugal. Search for Lupini Beans. High on Protein and fiber.
  • There's a lot of diets out there... In my opinion the most important thing is having a caloric deficit and eating more carbs on workout days and less on resting days. If you're eating 250-300 carbs everyday then keep eating that on workout days. On resting days try to eat like 100g, and replace those missing carbs with…
  • Black beans, broccoli, carrots and quest bars are my favorite source of fiber.
  • I don't have a problem at all with vegetables, and I find it pretty easy to cook and eat them. There are two very simple recipes I tend to make: Mashed sweet potatoes with spinach: Boil the sweet potatoes with the spinach, then mash the sweet potatoes, add the spinach, salt, pepper or your favorite seasonings. Mashed…
  • Great. Looks like I was mistaken all this time. Even at workout days I was only getting 2000-2500 calories everyday. Maybe that's why I'm not showing results that fast. I workout everyday from monday to friday, so two carb days per week for me it is. Thanks man
  • Man what a great answer MityMax, thanks! Are you sure about the caloric SURPLUS though? You mean eating above your maintenance calories (in my case above 2500) in workout days? I thought for cutting it would be maintenance. And thanks for the sweet calculator :)
  • @h7463 - Oh I drink my water alright. I'm one of those guys in the gym that drinks around 3L per workout haha. Good luck to you and all of your objectives. Don't forget to eat well... feeling foggy is not normal. @Fitnessocial - Yeah I was thinking about doing just that. Thanks buddy. Good luck to you :) Thanks for your…
  • Something between 50 to 150cal I guess
  • It worked for me as well. I'm not saying everyone should do it, we're all special. But I heard that your body will grab on to fat as a defense mechanism if you don't eat properly.
  • I don't know if it's only me, and sorry for escaping the topic a little bit, but after choosing healthy foods, chicken was one of those foods that I just can't seem to like anymore when its fried. I prefer grilled, with a pinch of salt, pepper, lemon and thyme. Try it. Cooking in oil involves too much saturated fats…
  • Weigh yourself once a week, in the morning, before you ate anything and after you went to the bathroom (if you know what I mean) I used to weigh myself everyday at the gym, so I know that feel. Just try to fight it.
  • That looks easy enough. Thanks. I thought this would be waaaaay harder than I thought but all I have to do is skip breakfast, workout fasted and eat like I do in a regular basis. Thanks missabeez.
  • Wow, what a great response SKME2013. Thanks a lot! So my plan is to fast for 18 hours and eat in a 6 hour window. All I have to do is TO NOT eat over my BMR. Right? Thanks a lot, best of luck for you too!
