The first step is always the hardest. I worked at a gym for 7 years and always encountered people who were afraid. I always told them that if they could make it inside and talk to someone at the front desk just to get them in there that it would help because they start seeing familiar faces. We also offered a free…

I'm getting married August 22. I would love to lose about 25 pounds. I'm hoping to do it by April though! Anyone feel free to add me. And I would love a group!

I'm getting married on August 22 in my hometown, if you all are looking for friends feel free to add me!

Anyone can feel free to add me. I've been here for about a year and have lost 25 ish pounds looking to lose 20-30 more. I am trying my hardest to get fit for my wedding in August! Good luck!

I'm 5'2 at about 157-158. I am trying my best to log as consistently as possible. I'd like to get down to about 130-140 (wherever I feel comfortable) so safely have about 20 pounds to go but it's going slow. I am getting married in 7.5 months but would love to be at 140 by Easter! Anyone here feel free to add me!!

I'm 24 pounds down since starting here in March 14' I have 7.5 months to go with a good 20 pounds to lose but would love to lose the bulk of it by Easter because I'm doing a boudoir shoot for the wedding April 11th! Good luck to everyone and congrats on getting married this year! (or next!)

My best tip for you is to accept the fact that it isn't going to happen fast. Once you accept that and commit for the long haul, eat less and move more.
-
I will add you, I am trying to lose 30 pounds.

Current weight: 160 Goal Weight for Easter: 140 UGW: 130-135 (until I'm happy) Pounds to go: 25-30

I'm looking to lose around 25-35 pounds more as well. Feel free to add me. I don't log as consistently as I should but I remain with my calorie goals and have been seeing progress. I will be supportive and comment where I see fit. Good luck!

I would do the shower, if she wants to host it but I would tell her you don't feel the need to throw a shower for yourself or for your bridal party to throw one. If she wants to have one that bad and you don't like the idea of people having to bring another gift tell her your conditions for the shower. A gathering to…

That donkey story is pretty awesome, I had never heard it before so thanks to the poster for that. But I like you also fell off awhile ago. I went from about 180 to 150 and still had a ways to go except that I fell off. I rejoined this year back up at 180 and I am currently working through that at 166. It happens to…

I also follow the TDEE method! I am too between 1800-2000 calories a day. Would like to lose 30-35 pounds, feel free to add me if you'd like!

I'm recently engaged as well! Congrats to you! I am hoping to be setting a date soon for August 2015 :) Anybody feel free to add me for support, wedding or healthiness :)

I have a similar story to you. I did not lose the amount of weight that you did, but still similar nonetheless. You did an amazing job the first time around so you can do it again. I went from about 180 to 140 a few years ago. I was working at a gym and had all access to multiple resources. I also too, was dumped. I had…

I felt that was a bit harsh too. I understand the advice to where he is not going to be able to push the wife into a healthy lifestyle that she doesn't deem necessary for herself but he has the right to be concerned. While he lost 68 pounds and may not have been in a position before to point fingers he clearly learned his…

I've had many of these in my time. My best friend was also very toxic (in different ways). I was being treated very poorly. Being used and abused I guess you could say. I always let things roll off my back and tried to accept her for how she was and just thought that it's just how she was and how she treated people, until…

http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ actually I like this one better, but I guess each would work.

I had very similar goals as you. I started out around 180 ish and then went on to lose ten. I now hover around 170 and still would like to get down to around 130 (or whatever seems to me to be healthy once I get there). (I also am 5'2). I used MFP auto set calories for awhile and didn't see much progress. I recently went…

I started the tdee method about a month ago and nothing really happened for about 2 weeks. Now the weight is slowly but surely coming off. I do NOT eat back the calories. A couple days isn't enough time for your body to adjust. Give it time!
-
I did the first month of insanity and noticed a crazy difference in my body although I only lost a couple of pounds and that was just in the first month. If you notice you feel a lot stronger you may not have lost any weight but could have gained muscle. While I didn't log because I didn't have MFP back then and I didn't…

With all of the above postings already being correct, I have to add that I myself had/have the same problems so I can vouch for their advice. I am about the 6th week in to the C25K and recently got fitted for shoes. I went and they watched me walk and run and measured my feet for proper running shoes. Getting fitted could…

I am getting married next year in August and I feel the same way. I just keep telling myself that if I give myself more time and lose it gradually that it will take the pressure off of trying to lose it quickly in an unhealthy way when I am a few short months away and still not happy about it. But I also know that it's my…

Personally I had to hit the rock bottom as well to realize that I needed to change my habits. Everything that everyone has added here are good tools to start. Walking is my best suggestion and you get the added benefit of taking your dog along with you whom needs the exercise as well to stay healthy. My other advice is to…

I second the Oikos. I get plain vanilla with no fruit added because to me it always leaves an after taste. I chop up fresh strawberries and add some granola and make my own parfait. Just have to watch the granola cause it can be high in calories, fat, etc.

I am getting ready to turn 25 and am currently doing the C25K right now. I just started week 5! I am also looking to lose around 40 pounds to put me at 130! Pretty similar goals :) Feel free to add me if you'd like!
