Sliced zucchini, squash, and onions, with hummus crusted chicken breast. Entire dinner was 380 kcal, packed with protein, and delicious!

I have flex. I find that people who question the accuracy are (in general) making two mistakes. Mistake 1 is that they aren't initializing their settings properly, so their base TDEE is out of whack. Mistake 2 is that when they are looking at their calorie budget, they are not treating all calories the same. Having 300…

Lasagna is technically a pasta... Like spaghetti is a pasta. People are nitpicky about these things. I just felt lasagna better explained the dish as opposed to, "cheese, sauce, meat, and non-pasta layered dish that resembles lasagna but isn't because it doesn't use lasagna noodles."

Move out. If you are financially dependent on one or both of them remind each of them that your are their child and love them both, and if they loved you, they wouldn't put you in the middle of their problems.

Boneless Pork Loin is cheap, lean, high in protein, and tasty. Butterfly a boneless loin and tenderize with a meat hammer. Slice up a roasted red pepper and lay about 1/4th of it on the flattened loin Roll it up, place is a tray and season with salt and pepper. Roast in oven at 350 for an hour Serve with rest of pepper,…

My former boss and mentor told me something that really has stuck with me: "People only change because of inspiration or desperation." A disease, cholesterol, heart attack, upcoming wedding... those are desperate moments that lead to change. Your family, someone else's success, looking in the mirror... those are inspiring…

The stop logging thing is certainly something I fear at this point at the tail end of my weight loss.

I too have an office job that some days has me sitting at a desk for 8-9 hours. After getting my fitbit, I soon realized how different my total burn was on different days. I run or do p90x3 every day to help offset the sedentary nature of some work days. But, I've also realized that while I can adjust what I eat day to day…

You are confusing me when you say your are burning 900 calories... I'm assuming you mean via exercise? The BMR of a 5'4" 127 lb woman (I used age 35 because you didn't disclose and it's a decent midpoint for MFP users) is roughly 1350. That means if you were to sit on your tush all day doing absolutely nothing, you'd burn…

Cake on its own is 110 calories if you were wondering...

First off, it's time to stop thinking about "dieting." Anything you do should be sustainable over the long haul. I was very much in your boat... Crash dieting and eating 1200-1400 a day and thinking I would never get to enjoy food again. Eventually I came to realize that my journey was a marathon, not a sprint. I could…

Ground turkey version was good... Used salsa instead of pepper aoli sauce. But the shrimp version is still better.

To my Australian friend... No offense was taken by me. To each their own. I know Vegemite makes me sick! To others.., in all my recipes I will list something like "Splenda or other sugar alternative." Bottom line is, many alternatives are interchangeable and all of these recipes can be played with. My hope is to simply…

2 Cups of whipped cream is roughly 850 calories... 2 cups of dream whip is 160 calories... 2 Cups of Cool Whip Lite are 800 calories..

At the end of the day, I don't know how many of us want to live a life of zero sugar. Sugar itself is not evil... it's not stalking you or waiting in the bushes. All things in moderation. If you can use an ingredient that has sugar, but not copious amounts and it fits in your calorie ranges and macros, then it shouldn't be…
