    I love lasagna. I have made it with zucchini and it is fabulous.

    Since when is the term 'LASAGNA' trademarked that it should only contain pasta??????

    Zucchini and egg plant can be valid substitutes for pasta in lasagna. If you preferred layered pasta in your lasagna, that's fine and valid, but it is a different issue.

    Lasagna is technically a pasta... Like spaghetti is a pasta. People are nitpicky about these things. I just felt lasagna better explained the dish as opposed to, "cheese, sauce, meat, and non-pasta layered dish that resembles lasagna but isn't because it doesn't use lasagna noodles."
