I don't declare any days a cheat day. I allow myself the ice cream out with my family or a dinner out. I just plan for it before hand. Follow my normal breakfast and lunch and make sure to get my run or workout in during the day. It's all about finding balance.

Make sure you have good running shoes. If you're doing the C25K program on a treadmill mix it up with outdoor runs. Running outside is completely different. Mother's Day 2014 with my older son (the day before I started my journey) and Memorial Day 2015 with my 2 sons after I ran in our town's 5 mile race. 48 lb difference :)

I have a Garmin Forerunner 10 which I have to plug into the computer to synch my runs. But I have the Connect app on my phone. I believe it was the app that asked me if I wanted to link to MFP. It works great. Just remember to keep your weight up to date on the watch so you get a true calorie burn reading.

I've realized that the people who usually make comments to me are just not happy with themselves. I don't let them get to me. I worked very hard to lose 47 lbs. I simply respond with "I'm in the healthy BMI range and I feel wonderful".
