I pop in a piece of gum! I chew trident splashers and they are only 5 calories! It occupies my mouth so I forget that I'm not eating food.

WOW! So I've taken 32 pounds of pressure off my knees! No wonder its easier at the gym!

Another issue you are going to run into is in the beginning, while your body is adjusting to activity changes and such, you may not see any decrease at the scale. In fact, you may see an increase briefly. This is the time when your body is adjusting to the activity changes, as well as nutrition changes. My deficit is about…

I LOVE my gym! They have "Kids Club" which has basketball, a rock climbing wall, a maze to run through, and other games for the kids! I think its great that gyms are starting to realize that physical activity is NOT just for the parents. I feel it also begins teaching children the importance of physical activity and being…

Wow! Glad to hear! Unfortunately...its already been 96 here in Arizona and its only getting hotter! The days of going to the park are rapidly dwindling...but the days in the pool are fast approaching! Hmmmm...now if only I could get that bathing suit body!

The simple fact that you have recognized that you have an obcession with over-eating is a great start. I agree with the question of how your dad (or lack thereof) has impacted your life and your habits. The reason I write that is because I have had a similar struggle with my father. I went the opposite though...I was…

***whistles innocently*** I didn't read a thing!... If that isn't the truth! I've heard a few men's conversations when they thought we weren't listening!

For people who are already at risk for heart disease and hypertension, the…

I completely agree with you! I even went so far as to buy the "body bugg" from my personal trainer (when I had one) and I used it for a while...but then it got annoying. For those who do not know what it is, it is a monitor that is worn on the upper arm and it uses various aspects to calculate your calorie usage throughout…

I'm pretty excited! I'm usually a fast food junkie between my hectic schedule with work, school, and my boys. Its easy to just grab and go. I'm pleased to say its been 6 days since I've eaten fast food! I'm not sure when the challenge started but heck! Count me in! Trina

Take the stairs instead of an elevator. Park as far away from work and school as possible and briskly walk. During your break, go up and down the stairs a time or two. These are a few things I do when I don't get to get in a workout. Good luck! Trina:flowerforyou:

I've seen many people post recipes for fast meals or even meals on the go. I'm a single mother of two boys and work 13 hour days monday-friday. Unfortunately, I'm a very picky eater (its a texture thing...onions, peppers, stuff like that). Any suggestions? shrt_cwgrl@yahoo.com is my email for any suggestions too! Any help…
