Will eating sodium prevent weight loss?
Or is there another reason for watching it? Are we told not to eat too much of it because it's simply unhealthy?
Or is there a correlation with losing weight???????

Increased sodium intake causes increased water retention. Other aspects of increased sodium intake is that it can contribute to hypertension (high blood pressure), increased risk of heart disease is another problem with high sodium intake. For people who are already at risk for heart disease and hypertension, the recommended daily intake of sodium is 2 grams (2000 mg) or less. (I'm a nurse giving this information.)
Any other questions, let me know!
