It was an unthinkable amout to lose, but her's was done with medical supervision and was for $250k. I'm sure like most winners, she'll put on enough to get her back to a healthy more realistic weight. I just hope she doesn't go back to the 260 she was to begin with.

On the main page, there is a scale icon below your picture. If you clickon that, you can update your measurements.

I use a Polar heart rate monitor also. It gives a more accurate calorie burn number that the machines at the gym or the inflated numbers on MFP. It was one of the best investments I've made.

I've have the surgery on both knees. The recovery time is fairly short so I'd say if you doctor recommends it, then get it done.

Awesome job! My story is almost a carbon copy of yours. At the doctors last March I weighed 302 lbs, I joined a gym in June and started going 5 times a week and cut back on my eating. This morning, I weighed in and had lost 3 more pounds for a total of 76. 226 pounds feels great. Keep up the great work!

I have always been athletic, I just let myself go. Now I go to the gym 5 times a week. I still eat the foods I like, but I don't get carried away. Just getting off the couch has made a huge difference.

Yes the guy is a jerk, but why tell him your weight in the first place. Does he make you weigh in every day? On a similar note to all women: Don't ask a man if something you are wearing makes you look fat it you aren't prepared for the truth. If you want a lie then you shouldn't ask.

Up at the very top, next to your name there is a little person character that will have a number by it if you have friend requests. Click on it and it will let you accept new friends.

Count me in too. My wife made the comment earlier about all the female friends I have on here and just a couple male ones.

I just ordered a new HRM and it is supposed to have a fitness v. fatburn mode, so that is what really got me wondering about the differences.

This past Sunday I had 2 pieces of deepdish pizza from Uno's. I found out that that was over 1100 calories. I felt terrible at the time, even though the pizza tasted awesome. I've stuck with my workouts and got back on the right track with my eating and I've still lost 4 pounds this week. So I'm sure you will recover as I…

I'm ready to lose, let's go!

Track everything and be honest. The smartphone app has a nice scanning feature which helps to accurately enter nutritional info. Watch what MFP gives you for calories on your exercise, they seem to be inflated. Splurge once in awhile. Dieting and exercise can get dull.
