  • My wife was texting me earlier complaining about her boobs getting smaller as she loses weight. I told her that if they shrink when you lose weight then they weren't supposed to be that big in the first place.

  • A year ago, I was one of the "fatties" at the gym. A year later, I've lost almost 90 pounds and look more average. When I see larger people working out I think good for them that they are taking steps to improve their health. Just keep with it and in no time you be able to show the people who talked about you how wrong…
  • The ringing in my ears
  • I'm 6' 3" and have 3 daughters all 6' tall.
  • I'm with the OP and I'm alomost 47. Losing weight wasn't hard. I just decided that was what I was going to do and stuck with it. People make too many excses on why they can't lose weight (I'm too old, I'm too busy, blah, blah , blah). I have 4 kids, work a very busy job, but I decided I wanted to lose and wasn't going to…
  • I drive a 2011 Blue Ford F-150 4wd crew cab truck when I'm by myself. When wife and I go out, we usually take her 2013 Black Ford Fusion Hybrid. You talk about day and night when it comes to gas mileage.
  • My wife uses it in spaghetti sauce and I can't tell the difference between it and ground beef.
  • I have never spent the night in the hospital.
  • I am having a hard time finding shoes that fit now. Growing up thin, I always wore 11.5 or 12. When I gained a lot of weight, I went up to a 13. Now that I've lost my feet are somewhere between 12 and 13 and very few shoe manufacturers make a 12.5 so I'm having to wear an older pair 12.5 I found that are about worn out.
  • I have 3 tall daughters (5'10, 5'11", 6') and I am contantly getting on them, especially the tallest, about being proud of being tall and not to slouch to appease the shorter people. Don't be afraid to wear heels. If it makes the man insecure, then he's not the right one anyway.
  • Congratulations on your decision. I'm glad you said that you are starting your diet today and not tomorrow. So many say they will start tomorrow, and tomorrow never comes.
  • When I was heavier I always thought that there is no way I let myself go that bad and the doctors scales had to be wrong. After going to another doctor and them giving my the same weight, it actually opened my eyes and got my on my way to lose weight. Before I go to the doctor now, I weigh myself on my scale with the same…
  • After 25 plus years of marriage I've learned that women only wear make-up to impress other women. 99% of men don't care. And that goes for your shoes too. Like I've told my wife a million times, the truth is men look at women's boobs and butts and not much else.
  • I leave enough calories so I can have an ice cream bar every night. Don't try to cut out everything you like or you'll be more apt to cheat,
  • The MFP calorie intake is based on your daily routine without exercise. They recommend eating back all of your exercise calories. How are you getting at your exercise calories burned number? I you go by what MFP has as default, they seem to be inflated. You might try and eat back at least half of you exercise calories and…
  • I think they are considering a "cup" to be 8 fluid ounces which is 236ml. So your 500ml bottle would be just over 2 "cups".
  • "The Raiders March (a.k.a. "The Indiana Jones Theme")" John Williams, London Symphony Orchestra
  • I've given up seconds at dinner time and a 6 pack of beer on Friday and Saturday nights.
  • Try eating at maintenance levels for a couple weeks and see if you start feeling better. If you do then you could start back on you weight loss plan.

  • I don't know how much you are willing to spend on a HRM, but I got a polar f4 and an f7 for my wife and I on Amazon for around $60 each new. Most retail stores have the same thing from $90-$125.
  • Tues, Wed, Thurs.- After work between 3:30-4:30PM Sat-Sun- When I wake up usually 7:30-8:00 AM I take Mondays and Fridays off.
  • I vote for the first one and the last one.
  • Looking at some other nutrition sites and they are agreeing that a 6 oz. sirloin is 386 calories.
  • You might try eating back only half just to make sure you aren't over estimating your exercise calories (especially if you are going by MFP's default #'s for each exercise).
  • I have lost 85 pounds in 9 months. I go to the gym 5 times a weeks and changed to a healthier eating habit. I log everything that I eat, and still eat the foods I like as long as they stay within my calorie goal.
  • I'm sure the main thing everyone is going to tell you is to log everything you eat. My guess is that you are eating more than you think. If you are using the phone app, it only take a second to scan the barcodes on your food to bring up the nutritional info. Once you start logging everything you will be able to get a…
  • I gave up smoking 8 years ago today. My work paid for Nicorette gum to help me quit. I put on a significant amout of weight afterward. It took 7 years to decide that now that I can breathe, it was time to lose the weight I put on. Losing weight was just as tough as quitting smoking. Just take it one day at a time and soon…
  • I treat my gym time as a second job and someplace tha I have to go 5 times a week. I have lost quite a lot of weight and it worries me to death that if I don't go to the gym when I'm supposed to, then I'll put the weight back on and all the effort will be wasted. I also becomes easier if you have someone to go with you. My…
